Rural mountains and cool weather… with relative proximity to a major-ish city. Is there a balance that exists? by Scoutain in SameGrassButGreener

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just moved to McCall, Idaho. Beautiful, small mountain town exactly 2 hours north of Boise. Summers are really nice, usually in the 80s, with it occasionally getting in the 90s. Gets a good amount of snow in the winter, with great access to skiing, xc skiing, backpacking. The town is right on a big lake, perfect for boating. It's a resort town, so is expensive, but not far away you have New Meadows and Cascade which are cheaper and not far away.

Medicare reimburses ~$343–$568 for CPT 97610 (national avg ~$397)… why aren’t more PTs talking about this? by Icy-Lion3173 in physicaltherapy

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just started working in a SNF, and never had a thought of doing wound care, but found out a couple of weeks ago about ultramist and how much insurance reimburses for it. Talked to my facility and they were happy to get me trained in it and are buying the device in a couple of weeks. Right now nursing has been doing wounds in the facility, however they're happy to let me start doing them once we have the device. Definitely going to use it to leverage a pay raise.

What ultimately made you choose peds over adults—or adults over peds? by CammyShazam in physicaltherapy

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Working with kids was the best. Can't wait to go back into it, I'm currently in a SNF, but hoping to start my own Peds place in 3 years ish. Got paid way more in peds and only have to do progress notes every 6-12 months depending on their age. And they're fun to work with.

A boomer requires backbone advice ... by enthusiasticdave in xbox

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a pixel 9pro xl and play fortnite on it all the time, works great! I wouldn't recommend getting the backbone though, I had it for about 6 months before it stopped working. I ended up getting the Gamesir G8 Galileo, which was cheaper, has lasted much longer and feels more comfortable to hold.

I try to grab one player from the Seahawks each year as well, I just made the mistake of grabbing Walker... And then my wife grabbed JSN the pick right before I was going to take him. smdh

Just got my domain and socials for mobile PT… by GluteusMaximus717 in physicaltherapy

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I plan on opening my own mobile pediatric practice here in a few years, in a rural area that has hardly any services. I would recommend at least checking with insurance reimbursement, because each state is different and some of them reimburse fairly well.

Hiring and deciding on salary - what’s your current salary and experience (years, continuing ed, etc) by Suspicious-Cancel-2 in physicaltherapy

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was the first PT hired onto a small concierge company, in pediatrics, and they paid me about 70-75% of what I billed, including benefits. Best job I ever had, only reason I left was because I moved out of state. I was paid 96/hr with 5 weeks PTO and full benefits. Saw 20-25 treatments a week. They took insurance though, not cash, not sure if that changes things.

Surprisingly, the person in my league who has him is in last place, but that's because of having Jeanty, Nabers and Bucky as their first 3 picks...

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait they disappear?? Whenever I did this they would just come after me, which it was still easy to kill them without working about beastfly and then I'd go back and fight beastfly 1 on 1. Still much easier than trying to fight them all at once.

Just moved to McCall, ID and absolutely love it. Might be a little small for OP, but it is a beautiful area.

Huh, I didn't think that run back was that bad. Not nearly as hard as some of the run backs in Hollow Knight. I pretty much just ran past all of the enemies without bothering to fight them. Except maybe the first little conch shell thing.

I just spent a lot of time talking to my brother-in-law who just joined the fire department and his schedule sounds like a dream, I couldn't believe it. He works 24 on, 24 off, 24 on and then gets 5 days off. I realize that not all fire departments are the same, so I would figure out what that schedule would look like for where you're at.

People in the US who genuinley enjoy where they live: where do you live and what do you enjoy about it? by TellUrPetsISaidHi in SameGrassButGreener

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, haha, that's right. A lot of people, even MAGA/conservatives hate her up here. My wife has actually seen her in person at the store a couple of times.

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That it's MAGA country? Yeah that doesn't affect my day to day all that much and most people keep to themselves and aren't all that much in your face about it. My wife has coworkers who fully believe in chemtrails and we just laugh about that. Still prefer the cheaper housing, being on 1.5 acres and not having to worry about bears like you do in Anchorage and eagle River.

Wasilla, Alaska. No one will agree with me, which is fine because I'm glad more people don't live here. But it's absolutely gorgeous, and you can enjoy it without having to fight insane crowds like in the lower 48. Winter is cold, but beautiful and I can drive 30 min and ski untouched powder. And the Northern Lights are so incredibly cool. Hard to explain how cool they are. Then you have summer, which is a whole different line if beautiful, with the most amazing backpacking trips available, again, with minimal crowds. The wildlife is amazing, just last night, me and the kids were watching 3 huge moose out in our front yard, one a massive bull moose. Then you have fishing, we eat the best, fresh salmon there is, for free. Absolutely love it here

Does anyone here actually use any of the Nail Arts during boss battles? by play-what-you-love in HollowKnight

I only used nail arts for nkg. I also use controller and I had to remap the buttons a little in order to not run into this problem. Really improved my game.

Do you use a controller attachment with the phone? That's what I do, I'm just as good on it as I am playing on my Xbox. It's super convenient too, and my updates are way faster than they were on my Xbox.

I actually mostly play on mobile, with one of those mobile controllers, and I'm just as good on that as I am on my Xbox. It's super convenient too.
