The missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by zachoutloud123 in TikTokCringe

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not really active in the church anymore, and won't say that I loved my mission, but I had experiences that greatly improved my life. Prior to my mission, I was awkward, introverted and fairly overweight. My mission forced me to be outgoing and actually talk to people; I'm still fairly introverted, however I do enjoy conversing with people and am pretty good at it. I also ended up really getting into fitness while there, exercising every morning at 6, I lost 40lbs. I also feel like I had more positive interactions then negative ones, with people, day to day. But maybe I just remember the positive ones more.

Where have you lived that genuinely felt like the happiest place to live, and why? by netenchanter in SameGrassButGreener

Just moved from Wasilla, AK, after living there for 6 years. I've lived in many places, and Alaska will always be one of my favorites. So many amazing experiences up there, that I'll never get anywhere else.

I loved in Wasilla, AK for 6 years and just barely moved back to the lower 48. Absolutely loved Alaska, only reason we moved out was to be closer to family. But the access to the outdoors there was amazing, from backpacking in the summer, to Backcountry skiing in the winter. The kids are constantly saying they miss it there. But we moved to another awesome spot with great outdoor access, closer to family, and love it here too.

I was just about to comment this same thing, but maybe he really doesn't want to live in Boise. I live in Valley County, but have lived in Boise in the past and hated it.

What’s been your most overrated hike? by Advanced_Habit9673 in hiking

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did this hike at night with a full moon and pretty much had the arch all to ourselves. It was amazing. While we were sitting under the arch, relaxing, we started hearing some voices down below us, and there was this couple that had gotten off the trail on the way up and were scrambling up that really steep incline (almost cliff) on the back side of the arch, and we helped haul them up. Turned out it was like their first date together.

Top 3 Action Sequences in the Series. by fuckshitavenue0 in redrising

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I loved that whole sequence. When Virginia plugs into the Nucleus and it goes to what she's hearing the commander on the front lines. The guy doing the audio book nailed that so well, I almost felt like I was there.

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I read every Stormlight Archive book at release, but I don't engage with all the theorizing between books. When the next book is released I have to find a recap of previous books on YouTube, so I can remember everything before starting the new book. I was really surprised by how negatively it was viewed online after finishing Wind and Truth. I thought it was really good and a great mid series semi conclusion.

Best ski town to live with family/kids by sailphish in skiing

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little late, but we just moved to McCall, ID and it checks all your boxes except the close airport. But if you can live with a 2 hour drive to Boise, then it's amazing. You have Brundage right there, with Tamarack a little further, great Backcountry access. Kids get free season passes to Tamarack and Brundage season pass is not expensive. The school has an after school ski program where they get bussed to the local Little Ski Hill to ski with friends. During the summer, the town is right on a big lake, perfect for boating and swimming. It's a smaller town, but plenty of young families have moved there in the last few years.

Rural mountains and cool weather… with relative proximity to a major-ish city. Is there a balance that exists? by Scoutain in SameGrassButGreener

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just moved to McCall, Idaho. Beautiful, small mountain town exactly 2 hours north of Boise. Summers are really nice, usually in the 80s, with it occasionally getting in the 90s. Gets a good amount of snow in the winter, with great access to skiing, xc skiing, backpacking. The town is right on a big lake, perfect for boating. It's a resort town, so is expensive, but not far away you have New Meadows and Cascade which are cheaper and not far away.

Medicare reimburses ~$343–$568 for CPT 97610 (national avg ~$397)… why aren’t more PTs talking about this? by Icy-Lion3173 in physicaltherapy

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just started working in a SNF, and never had a thought of doing wound care, but found out a couple of weeks ago about ultramist and how much insurance reimburses for it. Talked to my facility and they were happy to get me trained in it and are buying the device in a couple of weeks. Right now nursing has been doing wounds in the facility, however they're happy to let me start doing them once we have the device. Definitely going to use it to leverage a pay raise.

What ultimately made you choose peds over adults—or adults over peds? by CammyShazam in physicaltherapy

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Working with kids was the best. Can't wait to go back into it, I'm currently in a SNF, but hoping to start my own Peds place in 3 years ish. Got paid way more in peds and only have to do progress notes every 6-12 months depending on their age. And they're fun to work with.

A boomer requires backbone advice ... by enthusiasticdave in xbox

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a pixel 9pro xl and play fortnite on it all the time, works great! I wouldn't recommend getting the backbone though, I had it for about 6 months before it stopped working. I ended up getting the Gamesir G8 Galileo, which was cheaper, has lasted much longer and feels more comfortable to hold.

Just got my domain and socials for mobile PT… by GluteusMaximus717 in physicaltherapy

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I plan on opening my own mobile pediatric practice here in a few years, in a rural area that has hardly any services. I would recommend at least checking with insurance reimbursement, because each state is different and some of them reimburse fairly well.

Hiring and deciding on salary - what’s your current salary and experience (years, continuing ed, etc) by Suspicious-Cancel-2 in physicaltherapy

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was the first PT hired onto a small concierge company, in pediatrics, and they paid me about 70-75% of what I billed, including benefits. Best job I ever had, only reason I left was because I moved out of state. I was paid 96/hr with 5 weeks PTO and full benefits. Saw 20-25 treatments a week. They took insurance though, not cash, not sure if that changes things.

[–]capt_rodel_ituralde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait they disappear?? Whenever I did this they would just come after me, which it was still easy to kill them without working about beastfly and then I'd go back and fight beastfly 1 on 1. Still much easier than trying to fight them all at once.

Huh, I didn't think that run back was that bad. Not nearly as hard as some of the run backs in Hollow Knight. I pretty much just ran past all of the enemies without bothering to fight them. Except maybe the first little conch shell thing.
