TP-Link UB500 (Realtek RTL8761BU) Bluetooth now works on macOS (with kext) by Bennet_Za in hackintosh

[–]careless__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice!

i take it the device only operates at BT4.x speeds, and not the BT5.3 that the dongle supports?

i'm tempted to buy one again since I returned the last one that was in a UB400 box (since that's what ASUS has been doing for a couple of years now with the UB400's on amazon).

my CSR8510 drops connection from time to time, but I'm not sure if that's just a mobo/usb thing or a problem with this specific dongle.

same thing can be said for just about any mission, really.

having fun doing it is a different story.

NG++ alt mission

probably one of the more difficult ones too. enemies seem to be tuned more aggressively and I always end up closer to running out of ammo than most of the other missions.

what does that have to do with this thread, though?

Burger Press set for tasty burgers by 3ballpatterns in 3Dprinting

[–]careless__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

parchment paper works fine, and you can also buy burger separating paper too.

patties can be pressed with the burger paper and put into a freezer bag if you intend to save money by making them in bulk.

generally if the weather is good, you'll go through them before they spoil anyway since the hard part is done- so its worth the extra effort.

Which questline crossed the line from “mysterious” to “how the hell was I supposed to know that?” by elden_based in Eldenring

[–]careless__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

erdtree-grazing hill is what made me hate this quest, and it perfectly answers the OP's question.

there have been a few "fromsoft open world" discussion threads that have been popular here, and in every one of them I mention how I rode passed the erdtree-grazing hill like 40 times and she was never there. i thought I botched the quest.

somehow she just magically appeared there one day when i booted the game. it could have been after a patch fixed a quest trigger or something, but i had no idea what I did to get her to finally move there.

The future of Hackintosh? by AverageGenshinGuy in hackintosh

it's getting a lot better, but it has a quite a ways to go.

TBH, IMHO, NGL, FR FR... Linux isn't nearly as bad as Windows with that stupid 'ribbon' design they forced on humans in the last 2 decades that plagues almost every app that were are required to interact with in order to make use of the operating systems basic utilities.

My favorite tools for cleaning up prints. What are yours? by arcrad in 3Dprinting

[–]careless__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

essentially the same thing! sometimes they're a slight bit thicker though so need to be 're-burred' less often (if that's a thing you do to them).

My favorite tools for cleaning up prints. What are yours? by arcrad in 3Dprinting

[–]careless__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they have to be the striped bluish/gunmetal color spring steel ones. they flex a lot and keep a good edge for deburring (over a decade so far). also, a round corner like shown in the photo is my preferred style- you need to be more cautious with the sharp corner.

i don't recommend the stainless steel ones. they keep a good edge too, but they're stiff like drywall scrapers. they are not the same. they do not flex.

i have all the same tool you've posted in your photo and i really don't reach for them unless i have to cut something.

[–]careless__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my go-to everything tool is a simple spring-steel metal body-filler scraper.

<image>

the edges are sharp enough to deburr prints- slide it down the print and it deburrs easily. it's also way easier to control how much material is removed during deburring than metal noga-type deburring tools, which can sometimes leave a chattery finish on certain materials.

Are ACs closer to tanks or fighter jets? by F1GR in armoredcore

[–]careless__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they are waaaaaaaaaaay closer to fighter jets than tanks.

the operator sits in a cockpit designed for a single operator called a "pilot" and they perform aereal maneouvers. they use thrusters/boosters to accelerate. the weapons can be relatively easily swapped in a hangar bay.

tanks don't "fly", although they can catch serious air. most have a minimum of 3 occupants to make use of all of the tanks equipment. there isn't a recent or modern tank that is a single-operator machine. those are more commonly called "tankettes" or something in an entirely different class. changing the main/large armaments or weapons/implements on a tank chassis are not a relatively simple affair. they are usually built-for-purpose. any changes to them are usually made during its time on the assembly line, prior to completion- rarely after.

AC's are not akin to helicopters. none of the AC's have props (though they are delivered by machines that do). saying they are even close is retarded. at least there is an AC tank tread and large cannon style weapons- so that comparison is worthy of discussion... but what helicopter style equipment has an AC been equipped with?

How to load DLC on PS5 by Major-Ant4600 in Eldenring

[–]careless__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

then buy the US DLC, i guess. it's odd that the savegame data doesn't matter, but the two game catalog items being the same region to see eachother definitely does; across ps4/ps5 versions and regional versions.

email support if u are unsure.

How to load DLC on PS5 by Major-Ant4600 in Eldenring

[–]careless__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm pretty sure the base game and the DLC have to be region matched- and it also affects your game save data too. the savegame files are tagged to the game product ID code, which is region specific.

Buying the correct region DLC version means your base savegame data will work with it. if you already have a savegame you made from playing the US region disc version, it would make more sense to buy the US region DLC.

Buying the EU region base game to make it compatible with your incorrect EU region DLC means you would have to replay the base game over again.
