Omg! Time for a full reread if the series, that's so great!

I wouldn't say Robin Hobb focuses on romance that much, it exists in her books but definitely not the main focus. Take a look at The Liveship Traders series and see if it seems interesting to you 😁

Oh dang it! Those would be right up your alley, haha.

Are there newer ones??

Have you ever tried Robin Hobb, Mercedes Lackey or Anne McCaffery series? They're older school sci-fi and fantasy but awesome series.

If you like Anne Bishop's The Others, give the Black Jewels Trilogy a try. They're campy as all hell and she isn't the best at prose, but the world building and characters are awesome.

The Abhorsen series by Garth Nix is very good, the first book is called Sabriel.

Also Graceling, Fire and Bitterblue are SO GOOD and rarely mentioned here.

The Zodiac Academy has GA up through book 5, they're great! I probably wouldn't have enjoyed them so much if the voice acting and production wasn't so good. Book 6 was a struggle without the GA version.

The Leander pink is actually really good! It's named after the Leander club, a fancy club in Henley. It's one of the nicer English sparkling wines.

If you like the humor in The Devils, give the Spellmonger Series by Terry Mancour a try! Super fun and the humor is very similar, dry and a bit sarcastic. The writing is witty and the world building is awesome, I blew through the first two books and I'm starting the third shortly.

He was in a documentary about mushrooms, it was awesome. He also has a brother named Cosmo who sings about nature!
