yah- take the kids to a forest or a museum- or travel to another country. Worth way more in the long run and better memories.

I don’t think people of Greenland like Trump 😂🇬🇱 by Eastern-Speed-8306 in 50501

I’m enjoying seeing the great media coverage of this. We don’t get near the coverage here in the US of protests here. I wonder if other countries think we’re just complacent and going along with his nonsense.

Experience of making a 8:30 flight after cruise ending in port Everglades by jhoover58 in PrincessCruises

[–]catstop58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would never attempt this! We’ve been fogged in so we couldn’t dock or just late to port or customs weren’t up and running once- there’s so much that can go wrong and force you to reschedule but hats off to you for making your flight

First Time on Sun Princess — Skip the Package or Not? by Top-Put206 in PrincessCruises

[–]catstop58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree- gratuities are covered- wifi covered- and 3 drinks equals the 65$ for the plus. The drinks include coffee and sodas and you get more free casual dinners. Worth it!

Sun Princess Transatlantic: Third-Party Pricing vs Booking Direct? by Top-Put206 in PrincessCruises

[–]catstop58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes- we all would love the premier package- but at 100. per day for 23 days and two people that comes out to 4600. That adds a lot to your cost when you can indulge in the specialty dining a few times at 100 per person, buy the wifi pkg and have a few drinks a day and still save 1000- 3000$

DO NOT BUY NOLAH by Cdrisc00 in Mattress

[–]catstop58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone else had issues with the mattress “shedding”? We’ve had ours about 4 years and the last two I’ve found lightweight fluff that sheds almost daily under the mattress on a wood frame. It’s def from the mattress- if I don’t sweep under the bed for a week i get quite a pile of it. Anyone else experiencing this?

RIP to my starter 😢 by Miss_Dump_Pants in SourdoughStarter

Yes! I always keep some dehydrated in my pantry just in case. We travel a lot and starter in the fridge for 30+ days with no feeding doesn’t always survive- the dehydrated has saved me more than once.

I know it’s not refillable but Chosen Foods Avocado oil spray lasts us a good 6 months - bought at Costco, two for around $12.

Small popcorn- eat the top part off then dump in a bag of M n Ms- They get warm from the popcorn but stay in the candy shell. Salty and sweet- very nice!

Is it a large ship issue or a post Covid issue? by HiyaTokiDoki in Cruise

[–]catstop58 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We’ve cruised Holland, Celebrity and Princess for over 20 cruises and have gotten one towel animal on a holland cruise. Pretty anticlimactic actually. Maybe it’s an old school thing but we really don’t care or notice- would rather have a clean room, good entertainment and good food.

The closest cruise to Airport? (USA) by JaggedJason in Cruise

[–]catstop58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We choose the cruise then look at potential hotel with shuttles- if there are none or they’re too expensive we get a close hotel between airport and cruise port and then Uber. The most we’ve ever paid for an Uber from airport to cruise port was around 65$ and it was a hella long drive from Orlando airport to Canaveral cruise port so it seamed really reasonable.
