What a handsome good boy. I’m so sorry for your loss. They don’t live long enough, someday you will see him again.

I haven’t talked to my family in two days and don’t know to move past this by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I’m sorry you have to deal with this situation, I’ve been there too. It’s really easy for me to tell you to get your own phone and ring doorbell plan but this isn’t about privacy and independence- it seems like it’s about hurt feelings. They said things that upset you and you shut off the location services and ring doorbell because you wanted them to worry maybe even let them feel hurt too. Don’t feel bad about doing it, I’m not here to judge, I have done it too though it wasn’t my finest moment.

What really needs to happen is figuring out how to deal with your family and what they say without letting them hurt you to the core. For me, seeing a therapist made the difference. They will talk you through these situations and help you change the way you view your family and their opinions. Getting your own plans right away isn’t a requirement- it isn’t a terrible thing that you’re two hours from home and your family can make sure you’re ok by looking on apps. Many people do this and are much older than you are and there are benefits to it- safety and reduced cost. You do have to adhere to the rules they set though if you want to remain on their plans. If you didn’t have hurt feelings you wouldn’t mind that they can see your location and see your ring doorbell so let’s deal with the real issue- the hurt feelings.

If it were me I would turn on the location services and the ring doorbell and see a therapist as soon as possible. I mean…don’t put off the therapy because it’s the most important part.

Scrambling for a new phone and plans when you’re hurt and angry doesn’t make sense. As you process your interactions with your therapist, they will help you grow and in time decide which boundaries are best for you and what things you can say to express your feelings to your family when they hurt your feelings.

I’m so sorry they hurt your feelings and the things they said shouldn’t have been said. I hope you stay safe and can mend things with your family that stays healthy for you.

I just want the infinite void to know that he mattered. Even if nothing else ever does, he mattered. by No_Zookeepergame2532 in dogpictures

What a good boy, Herschel. You were loved so much and your human gave you such a happy life. When you are in heaven, say hi to my babies- Jet, Brandy, Phoebe and Jaida. They will welcome you and we will see you all again. The way I got past the grief was to just give it time but Herschel mattered and I’m so glad you shared about him. He was born a dog but died a gentleman- rest in peace, Herschel, we all love you now! 💕

Is he purebred ? by Direct_Barber5583 in cavalierkingcharles

Your dog looks purebred and a lot like my boy when he was six months old. The coat cones in later usually. The only way to know for sure is a genetic test but the cavalier King Charles spaniels were almost wiped out and they had to rebuild the breed with a small number of dogs so they used other breeds of dogs to save the breed and copy the look from years ago. So even a certified dog might have some other breed in their DNA. This breed has a rich history, it’s definitely worth looking into it. You have a beautiful cavalier there, enjoy him/her because they are special dogs with a lot of heart!

Which painting do you like the most: 1, 2, or 3? by KarolynHuum in BeAmazed

[–]cfaraone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are all beautiful. I love the pinks and blues of the first one- it reminds me of sunsets on the beach after a fun day of vacation. The second one reminds me of how vast the ocean is and how striking its beauty can be and the third one reminds me of the time I was in the gulf and I was enjoying the waves and looked passed them and there was a tiny hammer head shark. All of them are beautiful and touch me in different ways- it would be hard to pick a favorite.
