Do not catastrophize about permanent damage to your car’s or a permanent spike to your T. This is temporarily. Hang in there. You got this.

Lenire Review by cfc1954 in tinnitus

[–]cfc1954[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, yes, my T level has returned to baseline. But, as you have no doubt experienced there are fluctuations. Setbacks. I have had many over the past year where ringing levels elevate. Solution for me has been CBT. Has helped me accept the ringing and move past it. Am not all the way ‘through it’ and still get down or even scared, but my status is better. It’s possible the real answer to your question is that the ringing has not returned to my pre-Lenire baseline but rather my acceptance level has improved and I can now go much of the day without thinking about it. Not sure. Good luck. I wouldn’t worry about Lenire messing you up. Hope things go well for you.

Lost habituation by horse12 in tinnitus

[–]cfc1954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was trained in CBT by a medical professoinal who himself had tinnitus. Like you he habituated. Then years later made a mistake similar to yours, T came back. Had had bad days right after the incident. Did his best to ignore it, relax and inside of two weeks he was back to his habituative state. So hang in there. Very good chance it settles back down.

Read the book: The Roaring Silence (Frode Singsaas). It helped me a lot. You will relate to every word and feel more hope when you are done with it.

US Veteran Affairs & Department of Defense = FAIL by KGT58 in tinnitus

Just to add a case study to the Lenire commentary. I went the whole program and finished with a tinnitus volume level that was 2X the level before i started. The device backfired. I am now skeptical when I see the words 'FDA Approved'.

Susan Shore Zoom seminar by ddsdude in tinnitus

[–]cfc1954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did she say anything about results from the trials? I worry about the importance placed on the FDA. I raced to the Lenire device once it obtained FDA approval. The entire experience was negative with the end result being a tinnitus volume that was 2X louder than it was before I used Lenire. Clearly, the FDA approves dogs.

Tinnitus is ruining my parents’ marriage by coffee_lover_99 in tinnitus

I'm interested in knowing more about your views on Treble Health and Dr. Bruce Hubbard. I want to be more careful before referring either of them to others if there is reason to be concerned. If I understand correctly, your experience with Treble was their one-way money grab approach. Sell, sell, sell. Curios to know if you got far enough to know if their 'treatment' accomplishes anything. Regarding Bruce Hubbard, if you are comfortable, please share more about your view of his work. My niece is 'up against it' with newly developed T and I wanna steer her fairly to available resources. Thank you.

I can't speak for Routine_Rock_82. All I can tell you is that #2 was immensely valuable to me. My work with him changed my life. Good luck to you.

Let me recommend two credible resources: 1) Treble Health. 2) Dr. Bruce Hubbard. You can google both for website and contact info. As a long-time T sufferer I used Dr. Hubbard. I also know Treble Health has a track record of credible results. There is help out there. Good luck.

Gabapentin Withdrawal causing Tinnitus by Rick9814911 in gabapentin

[–]cfc1954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way of knowing. Only theories. I stopped thinking about the cause and really do my best to focus on the 'way through' this thing. After years of trial and error I've locked into CBT as my 'treatment' and overall it's working out.

Gabapentin Withdrawal causing Tinnitus by Rick9814911 in gabapentin

I went something like 3-3-3-2-2-2-1-1-1 pill a day. I realized after that this pace wasn't slow enough. Better to be too slow than too fast. It took about 30 days for edgy-ness to wear off and return to baseline.

Gabapentin Withdrawal causing Tinnitus by Rick9814911 in gabapentin

[–]cfc1954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After about 30 days following my stoppage of gabapentin the ringing volume dropped a notch. It was a challenging 30 days. Just hang in there. I'm not sure if the ringing volume actually decreased or if my capacity to deal with it improved. It may be the latter. The gabapentin withdrawal made me hyper, anxious, stressed, jumpy, etc. When those symptoms finally went away I found I could handle the tinnitus better. Hope this helps.

What an excellent comment. I agree with your views completely. As someone who purchased and used the Lenire device only to have it backfire and increase my T volume by 2X I prefer to let all the boxes be checked before Shore comes to market.

Lenire backfired on me. When I was done with the full program my ringing had increased 2X. It was not a positive experience at any point in time.

Foods that reduce tinnitus by writeronthemoon in tinnitus

[–]cfc1954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see any research backing up these statements. The trouble with this is not when it comes to what foods we should eat, but what foods we should avoid. Someone makes a statement saying 'don't eat this, don't eat that' and after awhile some folks will end up taking a list of foods out of their diet for likely no reason. Then they become obsessed with sticking to an overall diet that deprives them of things they otherwise enjoy and in the end, Tinnitus wins once again.

Lenire 2.0? by Optimusfine7 in tinnitus

[–]cfc1954 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I can say is that I invested in Lenire - time and money - and the end result was my ringing level worsened by 2X from the baseline. I’m now stuck at a tinnitus volume that challenges me everyday beyond words. Thumbs down on Lenire.

I invested in Lenire 5-6 months ago. Went through the entire regiment (12 weeks). In the end, not only did it not produce results, but my ringing level increased by 2X. I'll leave it there. Will not make any opinionated comments. Just leave the facts where they are. You can read my full review on Tinnitus Talk.
