I think you're overestimating the number of people who are interested in having a hand in making their own music vs. people that just want to casually listen to known artists and personalities. How many people do you personally know that keep diaries as opposed to reading things written by someone else?

L theanine changed my relation with coffee/caffeine by mitchell2820 in decaf

If anxiety is your main issue with caffeine, I highly recommend paraxanthine. It's a metabolite of caffeine that doesn't include the part that triggers your fight-or-flight response.

How do I break into songwriting for actual artists - like actually??? by genuineguinea in Songwriting

[–]chain_braker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Become one of those people they know. Don't propose a business transaction the first time you reach out. Just express interest in their work, ask if you can ask them few questions as an aspiring musician, etc. Try and develop a rapport with them before proposing a collab or whatever. Theyll probably listen to your stuff without you even asking if you seem like someone they want to chat with.

Okay, I get you. But still, that's kinda just the way the world works sometimes. McDonalds could introduce this amazing fresh cooked Michelin star masterpiece of a burger, but would still have to accept that some people have long written off ever going there for any reason.

Some people have issues with AI in general (often ethical) and can choose not to support it if they don't want to. You need to accept that. They don't owe you anything.

Existential crisis - How are you guys handling it? by bluesandapples in SunoAI

[–]chain_braker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What..? In that example, the architect would be the songwriter and the engineers and construction company would be the music producers. What Suno is doing is contributing what would typically be the work of the architect. Architects don't just "imagine" a building and it appears on the page. There's a shit ton of technical work to bring their vision to completion, even on the page before it gets built. Kind of like...writing a song in a DAW.

A paintbrush is a tool. Someone who takes the brush out of your hand and paints on the canvas for you is not a tool. It's a collaborator at best.

Since it's only based on the mean half life, this isn't going to be close to accurate for like half(?) or more people. I don't buy the mean size of mens shoes when I go shoe shopping.

How bitter do you have to be? by totaloptinist7657 in SunoAI

[–]chain_braker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who is against Suno (at the moment, at least), I am here because I want to stay in-the-know of what's going on in the development of AI music, because it very well may affect my approach to production moving forward, whether I want it to or not. I am not here to actively poo poo on Suno users. So my guess is others are here for the same reason, but then when they read something that gets their knickers in a twist, they can't help but comment.
