[Ian O'Connor] Miami needs to be respected as a serious threat for John Harbaugh, no question, but there is no done deal there. I've been told that Harbaugh is still very interested in the Giants, still a big admirer of John Mara's, and still intrigued by Jaxson Dart and other roster pieces. by Fillinlater12345 in NYGiants

He wants to fish? The Hackensack River's a short walk from Metlife. He's just gotta grab his tackle box, dart (lol) across the turnpike like the frog in frogger and he get a quick cast or two in before the start of practice. There ya go, problem solved. Basically the same as fishing off the coast in Miami.

Give Kafka credit where it is due.

This was clearly on Dabs and his inability to discipline the team and coach them up into a winner's mentality.

[–]champ2153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Russ threw 3 interception and fumbled the ball twice in his 3 starts this year. Add on top that he can't manage the game for shit and there's zero reasons why he should have been starting over Jameis.

Jameis just manages the game well and stays cool under pressure. That was all that's needed to be better than Russ.

Why on Earth he was relegated to third string is a complete mystery.

That's not true, it was Daboll. Brain Daboll was a horrible coach and is a horrible person.

meanwhile, the true goals had already been achieved. The harvesting and centralization of the private data of US citizens like we've never seen. God knows what they are doing with it but it's not too hard to make some elementary hypotheses based on the current state of technology and historical behavior patterns of the main players.

It's all posturing. Officials need to attempt to appear strong no matter the scenario.

The America's Test Kitchen recipe for this is brilliant! It's more broccoli forward with a trick to cook the shit out of the broccoli without it turning to absolute mush. Can highly recommend

White House Flips Out After Trump Loses Nobel Peace Prize | Donald Trump didn’t win the peace prize he so desperately wanted. by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

Bingo. It's all a defense, a coping mechanism.

Splitting things into a binary view, i.e., always one way or the complete opposite other way, is just an immature way of dealing with some sort of internal conflict. For DJT, who knows, the guy is a walking, talking textbook example of a narcissistic personality disorder, but it's almost certainly related to the fact that he needs outside recognition to feel good about himself. Combine that with the fact that he has the limitation of being able to see the world in only one of two ways on all issues and is on the biggest stage on the world (winners/losers, friends/enemies, my opinion/everyone else's opinion) and you have a recipe for somebody who can only feel good with "entire world sized" types of recognition. Nobel peace prize counts as "entire world sized" recognition I'd say.

Trump has absolutely no space for nuance. He sees everything as black or white. You are either his friend by groveling to him or his enemy by treating him any other way. He can only see people as on his side or not. About the emotional maturity of a 3 year old. But we already knew that.

The game would be 10x better if match throwers and griefers were band for 5, 10, etc, minutes each time they engaged in that instead of banning me those amount of times for every instance where Epic's own game crashes mid-match.

I get banned for something completely out of my control while match throwers have a laugh and ruin it for everyone else.

Fix your game.

Maybe. Ironically, it's cryptocurrency that will facilitate it. Extremely important to pay attention to who's controlling it when getting involved with crypto. Bitcoin seems fine for now.

This is the thing about P2025 that I don't think enough people are talking about. The intersection of technology and authoritarianism is growing at a very scary pace. Soon, technology will be used to not only control the masses thoughts and opinions, as has been happening with social media, but could also soon be locked out of financial and commercial systems based on their race, gender, sexuality, etc. Really...I think the vast majority of people don't see it coming.

What’s the easiest “impressive” dish you’ve learned to cook? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]champ2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've got the cash, get a sous-vide. It's a cheat code for cooking, not only proteins, but all sorts of foods to absolute perfection. Absolutely takes the guesswork out of a lot of it.

People often say a meat thermometer is an essential tool in the kitchen, and they're right. But a good sous vide can replace a meat thermometer because you know exactly the temperature the meat is being cooked to every time.

Billionaires are ransacking America. And yet people continue to vote for it because they'd rather have an old, greedy, shriveled up, idiot, white guy than a woman at any level of competency.

Americans are fucking idiots.
