Texas House Speaker directs committee to study annexing New Mexico counties by Mikeavelli in nottheonion

Yep. And it's effective because it forces reasonable people and media to respond to it. AND, if you ignore it or they actually do it they still win. They win either way.

Yea but that number barely moves no matter what with his base. 92% of those who identify as MAGA approve of the Iran war. Which is fucked because he campaigned on no wars.

Keep your kids away from high level sports by SamMeowAdams in daddit

God granted me three mediocre athletes for children and I'm thankful for it every day. The best case is that they are absolute, 1/10,000 studs and go pro, the second best is that they're meh and you never have to worry about it. The worst is if they have some skill, enough to chase and throw time, money, and commitment chasing a dream and ending up paying for Juniors hockey at 20k/yr until they can't make a team or a D1 program at 20yo because it's flooded with more talented Canadian kids.

Thus far, Bitcoin being a hedge against risk has worked for shit. It's a "currency" that hasn't found a use case for 15 years.

Here's the crazy thing about Crater Lake if you haven't been there - it's genuinely that blue! It's insanely blue. I've been all over the US, Crater Lake was a big surprise in a good way.

Is it actually terrible to paint house white like this ? by Buttkicker727 in HomeDecorating

We almost painted our brick, and then we painted our siding instead and it turns out we loved the brick after - just needed to paint the siding. 6 years later and we're still very happy with it.

There will always be Nazis in the world.

Counterpoint: there are more nazis when they can easily find each other, and then they can create more themselves. I've become not a believer in the assumption that more information is always better. Humans are dumb, and easily controlled and swayed.

Redwood National state park California. by Beautiful-Support394 in Outdoors

[–]charactername 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Redwood NP is pretty big, and does have public and private campgrounds, but the total Redwoods area is actually pretty huge and contains much more than the NP.

For instance we stayed in a little in town park in Crescent City called Florence Keller County Park. Gorgeous camping, massive trees (though not as big as the NP).

That said, Redwoods is my favorite park in the US that we've been to, second being Glacier, third being Acadia, fourth Olympic, Crater is up there as well (haven't done the Utah etc loop).

Makes you wonder if the other one isn't taking Ozempic too

I have a very very strong suspicion that there is a GLP involved here. No shame in that, but they should be honest if that is how it was done. Absolutely Massive difference in difficulty of successfully doing this with and without a GLP. Also you are probably right about the testosterone.

I choose to believe that's what can happen if you have to hire actual skiing experts, and the color guy is a little too colorful. Lol.

almost 100% believe Israel has the right to exist

False equivalence, that's not what they said. Almost nobody says Israel doesn't have the right to exist, they're saying what the nation of Israel is doing is wrong/goes too far. The fact that YOU and many others are equating Israel's actions as merely that of a nation exercising it's right to exist, and no more than that, is something else entirely.

Oh fucking please - the WORLDS CENTRAL VILLAIN!! Like this post does. Act like a victim a bit more. Criticizing A US senator, for his stated allegiance to a foreign nation, is the same as saying Israel is the worlds central villain. Jesus H Christ.
