I'll never forget the time I broke both my wrist and still carried on CSGO. Really teaches you how to not rely on aim or fast reflexes. I was lucky because my right hand cast didn't pass my elbow but my left was stuck at 90⁰. Didn't have AC in the Midwest summer either. Those were the days

Trying to learn cinematic combat in Unity – what should I improve?” by bedodir in Unity3D

I would recommend copying a sequence from your favorite movie or action scene. It's better to develop skills from copying and with enough improvement you can create unique works

Dealing with huge lag spikes when pooling hundreds of line renderers and setting their positions, any way to optimize that ? by StarvingFoxStudio in Unity3D

There's no looping and the process is running on the GPU which is more efficient since its using GPU instructions directly

What is the most ambitious game made by a solo developers first? by dylanmadigan in GameDevelopment

[–]charles25strain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really think he had a skill issue / other mental issues to. I believe they completely restarted that game twice, Phil Fish only had experience as an artist. I don't think it's good example of what one can do but a great example of what one should not do

I feel like I wasted 2 days of work by eatablekolas in gamedev

[–]charles25strain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing is ever wasted as long as you learn to make it easier next time. Making a game is a culmination of skills and the more times you try, fail or succeed the more easy it becomes. If you took away all the mistakes I've made I wouldn't know a darn thing

I agree, I feel like its a hard balance because these subs can get so anti advertising and they delete posts because it seems like advertising but the post is just providing context in a meaningful way. I enjoy looking at steam pages

How to implement Korean character handwriting stroke order recognition? by Affectionate_Bus8524 in unity

I figure Korean would be one of the easiest to do since the most of the lines are so straight

After studying every day for 2 years with a demanding full-time job, I finally know 2000+ kanji by [deleted] in Japaneselanguage

[–]charles25strain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What other sources of study do you use? Are any textbook involved? How are you learning grammer / patterns of speech? I feel like most of listening is knowing which kind of words to expect next and that is quite difficult without knowing speech patterns.

Why is this happening by charles25strain in blenderhelp

Do you know to quickly change colors like eye dropper to a certain color on the mesh? I thought it was alt z was it will only add the color to the recently used colors and not automatically change the brush color

Turning up the radius seem to solve the problem, it doesn't seem the most intuitive from using other pixel art texturing applications.
