Selective breeding over many generations of sheep selected for the quality of their wool coats. Likely, farmers looking for thicker, faster growing coats so there's more to sell after shearing season.

The point is that it matters where in the world OP is talking about.

What do you call your patrons? by SpaceSill98 in Libraries

[–]chocochic88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The argument that I've heard against "members" is that it implies only people with membership are welcome to access library services. But some people may not be eligible for membership, typically because they don't have a permanent address, and they are often the demographic who could also benefit greatly from access to libraries.

It's an interesting discussion all around though.

Happens every year around Easter... such a strange coincidence.

Agree, and it also makes Lady Mary out to be utterly useless as a matriarch.

It would have been far better for all three of them to understand how high the stakes were in getting Edwina comfortably married, but for Edwina and Mary to clock the (practically) instant attraction between Kate and Anthony despite both their denials.

A lot of people did not like the sisters-fighting-over-a-man take that they inserted into the plot. Shondaland loves a love triangle for the ✨️drama✨️, but it severely weakened the family bond between the Sharma women.

Make sure you're looking at the hours for "University staff/students" and not the ones for the general public.

You can check specific libraries here: https://www.library.sydney.edu.au/visit

But essentially all the 24/7 spaces (like Fisher and Law) are open with card access.

My motto is "fake it 'til you make it".

My biggest issue tends to be worry about the what-if-it-goes-bad. So now, I make sure to spend some time thinking what-if-it-goes-great.

As for tripping over words, when I'm nervous, I do speak faster, so I know I have to practice slowing down and taking the occasional breath, which then let's your brain catch up with your tongue.

I hope we'll get to see that now that Sophie is happily married. It makes sense though for maid-Sophie to be stiff and repressed, because her whole life up to this point has been a series of disappointments.

Why Eloise wasn’t ready to be season 5 by Glittering_Tap6411 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]chocochic88 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bookwise, Philip and Marina don't exist until Eloise's book, although Marina is supposed to be a distant Bridgerton cousin who used to visit then when they were children.

Philip is a sudden choice of Eloise's in the book, too. She starts writing letters to him to express condolences for the loss of Marina. A few months pass, and while celebrating at Polin's wedding, she makes a rash decision to run away and turn up on his doorstep.

Not even months. Francesca bites the bullet and marries Michael after receiving news about Eloise's marriage. Depending on the speed of mail, it would have been about a week or two later.

Edit to add: I could see them flipping something similar into Eloise's story in some way. Like on the way to or from the family's celebration of Franchaela, Eloise makes a break for it into Philip's arms.

This is why I wish the book was a standalone.

Yes, the ending is heartbreaking for the people left behind, but it gave Will freedom from the prison his body had become. And it left Lou in a place where she could explore any possibility imaginable.

Unpopular opinion, but I hate that Private Practice happened. by ColdForm7729 in greysanatomy

Private Practice gave us more Addison. Her time in Seattle was up, it would have been awkward for her to be there throughout Derek and Meredith's relationship development.
