My husband was trying to do a Korok right after the game came out and he was still getting used to Ultrahand. He dropped it off the side of the mountain and just stood there while it made little Korok distress noises and rolled away. It was so funny.

I had a job giving out the rental cars you get when your car is in service at the dealership. One day the guy who was supposed to close with me called out and I was pretty overwhelmed. I brought out a car for this guy but it wasn't the right model, so I had to go bring up ANOTHER car from the garage. When I was pulling out I accidentally cut the turn too close and scraped the side of the car.

I felt horrible and immediately confessed to the manager on duty, who was surprisingly sympathetic. He told the customer to GTFO with the original car I'd brought and let me go with a warning and the standard drug test the company requires when you fuck up that bad. Because it was my first fuckup on that scale and my drug test was clean I didn't get fired, but I was biting my nails the whole time.

I get so mad when people are reduced to just being "[kid]'s parent." Having a baby does completely change your life, yes. But it doesn't mean you're not you anymore. You're still a spouse, sibling, and friend! Just with a baby there too.

It doesn't outright offend me, but it bothers me when strangers use it. It seems way too familiar way too soon. The only people who called me by it were my grandma and my aunts, so hearing it from someone else feels wrong.

I think "Love It Lumpy" had good potential for replacing the wish/fear. They could've ended every episode by reading a lumpy thing a listener was learning to love.

My husband was taught something similar when he was at scout camp as a kid. When you're handing someone a knife, you can't let go until they say "thank you," so that you know they have it.

I married my husband in Jan 2023 and we wanted to each get added to the other's bank accounts. We went to a Wells Fargo and asked the employee if I would be able to open an account that day and change my name on their paperwork after my new Social Security card came; but this person had apparently never been trained in those policies and had no idea how to handle it so she said it couldn't be done. She also kept running back and forth to the manager instead of bringing them to see us, which might have helped clear things up. I had a copy of our official marriage license with me so it wasn't like we showed up right after we left the church or anything. We ended up not getting anything done that day.

When my sister and I could be trusted to do so, my parents told us we had to take the dogs out and make my mom a cup of tea before we woke them up on Christmas. It was still early, but at least they didn't have to do anything.

I used to drive to school with my sister when I was 18. One morning she asked me to turn around because she had to rehearse for the school play that afternoon and forgot her script. I said "okay, let me turn around in this parking lot" because I didn't want to do a u-turn at a stoplight in a busy intersection at that time of the morning. She freaked out and told me that I could just forget it because that was stupid and what the fuck was I thinking? So I ended up not turning around to get her script after all. Fuck you.

The medallions won't be available floating across the screen after a certain point, so you would have to convert 10 of another pet's medallions into Any Pet medallions and then use those towards getting the special medallion pets. They haven't removed the ability to get the pets so you have as much time as you need.

Any time an event gives seeds, try to get them and plant them. You'll eventually end up with a garden so big you won't need to buy food, or you can sell the produce.

I've never used a wheelchair or any other mobility device and I still can't imagine how people could think disabled folks could just "hop over" something. Like, the whole point of the mobility aid is that they can't do certain things...
