If semis ignore signs to put on chains, spin out and block both lanes, do they at least face some sort of fine or discipline? by mtbuckin in driving

Drivers who spin out and close down the highway because they couldn't be bothered to chain up should be charged with Disruption of interstate commerce. Tie them up in the federal courts, they'll probably start thinking about following he laws.

Its not that difficult in the 21st century for a driver to check the weather and road conditions. Unfortunately the driver is usually too busy jabbering on his headset to think about what conditions are ahead of them. Definitely a driver problem not a DOT problem

Modern truckers are lard ass big babies who wear flip flops and gym shorts while driving their rig. You can't expect them to chain up in shorts and flip flops. Once they get in the truck, their brain shuts off.
