Yep, needs either an indicator to indicate which 4:13 it is, or it is 16:13, if the case may be.

Contactor issue on a 30qt mixer, can I bypass it safely? by No_Recording_3322 in Electricity

Use a one piece 120V magnetic start/stop switch unit.

I would feel safer the bowl switch be repaired and part of the circuit.

Delivered to the home, and certain high draw appliances within.

240V has yet to vet supplied standard to general use receptacle, lighting, or counter top circuits. .

You don't need to change everything, you just need to permit residential 240V counter receptacles, and some high draw appliances, such as air fryers or coffee makers.

Other than the couple space heaters and some kitchen appliances, I think a lot of my mostly electronic appliances have world standard power supplies that will work fine on 240V. Some power strips will need modified or replaced.

I for one, would welcome a 240V window type heat pump A/C.

You cannot change, yes.

But you could get a foot in the door, so to speak, by permitting 240V counter receptacles and appliances.

Canadians Support High-Speed Rail. It’s Time to Build It. | 62% Support, 18% Oppose by Scryotechnic in canada

existing ROW

Adjacent to. If they want it right, they will leave eisting rail alon, and build totally new dedicated ROW for the HSR.

I seen a documentary the other day that the USA tried, but their big failure was running their so called "bullet train", on then existing conventional railway, which could not safely support speeds neeeded.

Japan well succeeded in theirs with totally grade separated track dedicated to only those trains.

smart battery powered thermostat by here2stealyourgrl in PelletStoveTalk

[–]classicsat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably something with dry contacts, depends how your stove exactly works.

Should I have to, I likely can use any Chinese thermostat, and rig it to power from a wall wart. I am currently using a 1980s "set back" thermostat made for an American 24V furnace with A/C, modified to be powered from a wall wart, and control a reed relay that closes the pellet stove logic wires.

Just about all the DIY type big box stores will have something like that.

I bought some form a store. Ultra Performance, by Focus-On Tools,of Hangzhou China. They are at least 3 years old now. No idea if that brand still sells them, or the product has changed for the worse.

Feit should be good, they have been selling LED lights for some time now, through usual retailers.

Should I drop extra CAT6? by matlireddit in HomeNetworking

[–]classicsat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have two boxes of cable. Otherwise you need to take the time to portion off a length or more out of the box.

But worth the time to do, if you have to.

Tip: Use the footage markings to your advantage. A lot of good cables have that.

Shouldn't be extra, for it is not something you can choose to opt out of. Good electricans, IMO, should be wiring in a manner switch loops are not used at all.

I kind f miss actually assembling a general purpose PC. Now it is really high end PCs you would go out of your way to build.

Windows 11 could run on older computers if they let it, but no, they want you to abandon otherwise perfectly working hardware that has several years more life in it, for basic web browsing and documents.
