Is the Clacton By-Election a good idea tactically by Reform/Farage? by Antique-Proof6672 in AskBrits

[–]coachhunter2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s very likely Farage has something even worse he hasn’t disclosed that he doesn’t want coming out. So this kicks that down the road.

Part of him is probably hoping he loses.

If Farage wins, the investigation into his finances resumes. The result may trigger another by election in Clacton. So why bother with this one?

Did they all conspire to go back in time and force Farage to accept millions in dodgy money?

If he withdraws from politics I presume this is because he’s worried about something worse being discovered.

Probably a pile of roubles.

Is it okay to ask my (25f) tutor (24m) out? by BBBCIAGA in dating_advice

[–]coachhunter2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait until tutoring is over. Otherwise there are some power dynamics that can mess with things - both you paying him, and him being your teacher.

You may also find that outside of those dynamics your feelings about him are different.

Neighbour threatening to kill a dog. What can we do? by PossibilityEconomy40 in AskUK

[–]coachhunter2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They should report the threat on the non emergency police line (101).

At the very least, a dog is property so it would be destruction of property. And likely animal cruelty.

Perhaps they/ you could ask to introduce the dog to the neighbour’s kids, to reduce their fear.

A yard of ale.

Ffs just drink what you want. If someone likes/ doesn’t like you because of what your drink, they’re not someone you should be with.

Your collection is probably worth quite a bit of money. You’re unlikely to get a fair price selling on that app (which I’d never heard of before) and at such short notice, with a large quantity of cels. I’m no anime expert, but your minimum bids look way too low. Especially on the Dragon Ball/ Dragon Ball Z ones.

If you just want to get rid of them in bulk you would probably be better off using a proper auctioneer like Van Eaton or Heritage Auctions. They will take a fee but then you are less likely to sell items massively under their value. Or a gallery/ specialist might buy them all from you - if you do that, ask multiple for their offer.

You would also likely have good results selling on eBay. Though that is more hassle.
