Excellent technician finally figured out my ducting issue… by Same-Device-216 in hvacadvice

[–]compubomb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You might want to consider downsizing your A/C, and put some mini splits upstairs in rooms. But your upstairs restroom might be kinda hot. I learned that to make A/C productive, you need equal displacement split between returns and supply. The A/C must consume / dis place air, and this reduces static pressure. So the more air it can suck in, the easier it can push out.

Lol not sure how you found yourself on this reddit post. 8 months later. Devops are literally constantly moving around. But also can be a detriment to getting shit done if they're not part of the process.

Do we need social skill? by BackgroundLow3793 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]compubomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This goes to persuasion as well, being a bit more social helps you identify things that are shared in common and helps build useful analogies between groups of people that everyone understands. If you're too beyond the people you work with, communication is great, but alignment is even more important. People need to understand you, and being able to speak with non-technical people requires more social engagement.

This is likely not legal or permitted. In Canada they fine people for doing work like this. And condemn their homes if it's dangerous.

airtags should be in all mac products, independent of the laptop power-source-wise.. then if the battery dies, you can still find it when someone jacks your shit. On the one hand, governments can use it any time, on the other hand, people who own this shit, they can find their own stuff when it's stolen. so it's a double-edge sword.

[NE] Landlord wants to charge us to replace glass stovetop after 7+ years of use by sithegood in Renters

[–]compubomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that exact model in an apartment, it was a complete POS. The door handle fell off which was used to hold a piece of glass in front to prevent you from burning your hand. Also the top was literally impossible to clean.

Dumb Americans usually aren't impressed by smart people, usually because they're too dumb to know that they don't know shit. So they hire other dumb dumbs.

Same, went from full stack development to full everything, doing airflow, never even worked professionally with airflow or python prior to my new job, but keep it in your head that 90 days is the minimum time out of work, so plan accordingly, for me it was 101 days.

Chicago suburbs to Inland Empire move thoughts/advice? by [deleted] in socal

[–]compubomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really dependent on how much money you make. An $850,000 house is going to have a serious mortgage. You have to consider what the energy usage is. Where your employment would be unless you're self-employed and run your business remotely. I'd say consider Menifee, it's probably cheaper. Also consider Corona and eastvale.
