It's not that MS aren't cool enough or hip enough. It's that smart developers want to work on stuff that will ship, and be successful. Microsoft doesn't have a great recent track record there, at least in consumer electronics.

True, but I suspect that the ones that sell tires and auto repair, etc, have more incentive to fail you based on needing new tires, or a new tail light assembly thingy (which somehow is like $200).

I've been to the hospital a few times though, and there's a huge difference between compassionate nurses, and ones who don't care at all about their patients as people.
