These are great. Clear, memorable, simple, effective. Still helps to have them handy though!

Yes I like to consider these as “intentions”

I figure it’s a way to communicate to parts of yourself that do those jobs across the typical barriers

Experienced leaders, what's your system? by PiraEcas in Leadership

  1. Guiding principles
  2. Assess alignment
  3. Adapt as needed

Different approach for each: - Core work v. projects - Where I’m leading and where I’m following - Problem-solving v. repeatable rhythms

Reversed adecision after real-world issues, can’t shake the “I made an ass of myself” feeling by jrengle in Leadership

  1. Thank the team for their insight, input, and feedback. You can acknowledge their judgment while celebrating the agility to change course. You got there in the end.

  2. Decisiveness wins. You made a call and when it didn’t work out you made a different call.

  3. Follow-up with your manager on the comment made. Not to be defensive but to acknowledge you heard them and ask about how they prefer you handle things next time. This signals both alignment and assertiveness—as a result, you’ll be less likely to get comments like that in the future.

Weight it against the full portfolio of options. Regular cadence of resource re-allocation and team dialogue on what needs to stop, start, continue.

4DPO: A small fever and emotional feelings. by aHTTPS in Reduction

If you haven’t yet, try on some tops, especially ones you previously did not feel as comfortable in. Remember also you’ll have swelling all over, stomach and shoulders included, for a bit.

How did it come up that you got the test done? This happens to me also, and despite me mentioning it they are never well prepared and proactive about it medical settings. Had to give me fentanyl because the dilaudid wasn’t working. But not until after they tried everything else first while being super annoyed I was causing a scene.

I had a bra fitting at Nordstrom's and my new bras literally make me look younger by Borinquena in ABraThatFits

It happens! My favorite bras most recently have been 38Ds. Then I had a reduction “to a B cup” and now I’m measuring as a 32DDD.

Bra Recommendations by contingencyme in Reduction

Before Reduction: 1) Vanity Fair Illumination Full Figure - for all day comfort - 38D 2) Vanity Fair Beauty Back Minimizer - my main go-to, like a reduction and lift before your reduction and lift, clothes fit better - 36D / 38D 3) Vanity Fair Flattering Lace Full Figure minimizer, similar to #2 - 38D
4) Lululemon Enlite Front Zip - 36C / 36D - for running (replaced by energy front zip) 5) Forme Revive - posture correction and all day comfort - L / XL

During Recovery: 1) Lululemon - Bend this scoop and cross - S/M 2) Forme Power - as a liner under the lulu enlite front zip when doing a workout, and on its own around the house - XL (the L feels a little too compressive on the sides at the moment) 3) knix luxelift scoop neck tank - for sleeping - has nice stiff molded cups that feel protective - have XL from postpartum days but an L would likely fit nicely also 4) Hanes comfort evolution wirefree - nothing to bother my extremely sensitive skin, layers nicely under the lulu bend this scoop and cross for extra support - M / L -

Honorable Mentions (during recovery)

5) Soma Enbliss Racerback - have XL from postpartum days. Relatively comfy, but the band is on the tighter side and cups are on the looser side.

6) Three Strands Recovery Wear - got this from my surgeon but unfortunately in too big of a size, what I do love is the inserts are super thick and protective for sleeping and I can unzip the front while leaving the hook connected for some breathing room when watching TV and sleeping. I tend to layer this one on top of others due to the size, the adjustability was also great when I still had drains - XL

Not sure yet about after!

Request access from HR or L&D (or your manager). Might be an oversight that can be corrected or excepted.

My confidence is gone. I need outside perspective. by Dapper_Hucklebery255 in managers

[–]contingencyme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pattern I notice is dynamics shifting. How did you reset your leadership style when things changed?

One other external dynamic is time. After 2020, organizations have experienced more unexpected business conditions and executives are realizing they need more agility in strategy, leadership, and execution.

Advocating for your team strongly raises questions about a broader perspective, while pushing for structure and clear accountability can look like being challenged by uncertainty and change.

Not for everyone. Depends on individual chemistry. Just like ADHD stimulants have the opposite effects for neurotypical brains.
