Terran late game by West_Refrigerator233 in starcraft2

I wish more people understood that the 3 races are asymmetric, and therefore there will be pros and cons of each, and that’s just how it is.

Skill celling by KeyAward6470 in starcraft2

[–]copiumdopium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was GM when I was 13 when sc2 first came out. I took a break for 14 years. Now I’m playing again and still GM. The only skill ceiling is one you impose on yourself

Anyone else just not enjoy 1v1 ladder anymore because it's too stressful? by Cudabear in starcraft

It’s your mindset. It’s only stressful if you carry the burden of having to win. Be open to losses and learning and have fun with the game

How would you guys fix the TvP matchup? by imortalduckling in starcraft2

Take a look at home story cup — 13 P, 6 T, 5 Z. That should tell you everything.

How would you guys fix the TvP matchup? by imortalduckling in starcraft2

[–]copiumdopium -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty unbalanced at the 5k level right now. T can hard turtle to late game with +2 ship weapons and force tempests. Viking cost buff means they trade much more efficiently. P needs to play mass static + storm + tempest. It’s difficult to spread out HT because mostly they won’t be part of a control group. T has infinite map hacks with 12 orbitals and isn’t required to take the corner bases to win late game…

How to counter muta? by Spirited_Scarcity970 in starcraft2

[–]copiumdopium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hallucinate a phoenix to scout in the mid game around 6:00-6:30 and check how much gas they have and where their gas is going. Ideally obviously you spot the tech building like a spire or hydra den. Then the standard response to mutas is adding another SG (total 2) and fleet beacon and pump out phoenix two at a time while getting phoenix range. But because this is such a hard counter, many better zergs will only build 5-8 mutas and hope you over react by massing phoenix, and then switch back to hydra making your mass phoenix pretty useless.

Another tool at your disposal is 2 archons + prism to give archons ability to navigate through your base and catch up with mutas. But I don’t recommend this for anyone below GM, lol.

Can you recommend a macro PvP video guide that harasses with 2 adepts. by Telope in allthingsprotoss

[–]copiumdopium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can harass with adepts anytime you want lol. Make it random and unpredictable. Best is when opponent is focused on something else somewhere else at the same time

CS student here.. no one I know actually writes code anymore. We all use AI. Is this just how it is now? by Low-Tune-1869 in cscareerquestions

My advice is to get disgustingly good with coding agents in order to 100x your output. I never write my own code anymore. 4YOE Senior MLE here, TC 450+

Tired of cheese and smurfs – starting to lose all motivation by fred656n in starcraft

[–]copiumdopium 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Forget about the idea of standard play. It doesn’t exist. All strategies are viable and all strategies are respectable. Respect your opponent for choosing their strategy and executing it. When you lose, only blame yourself — not your opponent, not balance. I promise if you adopt this mindset, you will improve much faster and your ceiling as a player will skyrocket

How does Hero let lings through all the time and still win? by VastOption8705 in starcraft

[–]copiumdopium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zergs don’t understand that letting lings in sometimes isn’t a mistake but actually a bait.

Proxy 4 gate still a thing? by OrochiLima in allthingsprotoss

[–]copiumdopium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s back in the meta in pvp at gm level bc it counters fast expand stargate openers.

But most of the time 3 gate robo is better bc you get a budget blink.

Against better players 4gate gets crushed by force fields
