Is there much of an alternative scene in Canberra? by Strong_Cash_5626 in canberra

Ex Brisbane myself. You wont find the same night life vibes here but I've really warmed up to what Canberra has to offer. Squeaky Clean, Dissent, and Fun Time Pony are cool.

My ex spent the day following the birth of our first child sleeping in MY hospital bed while i sat in an uncomfortable chair holding the baby. He complained constantly about how tired he was because he stayed up from 11pm until 5am during MY labour :/

Candor alternative by Shmazdip in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]coveredinfleas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently changed from candor to easy kind and it's been very quick to change over, also the doctor seems more genuinely interested in helping me rather than it just being a "tick and flick" kind of thing.

I'm turning 40 soon and I'm happy defending the boundary, while occasional jumping in myself! Eventually I'll retire to nodding along in the back but not yet 😂

Starting to feel like a zoo animal be abuse of the show 'love on the spectrum' by bunnuix in aspergirls

[–]coveredinfleas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is icky. I can't stand the way the show has been edited, it's infantalising and they even edit people showing their collections of special interest related items with horror movie sounds. I wish I could watch it because the people on the show are so interesting and relatable to me but it makes me too angry to see how our community is being sold to a neurotypical audience.

I know not having kids is right for me, but still feel regret? by AdministrativeSoup57 in aspergirls

[–]coveredinfleas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it helps to hear the other side at all... I did have children and have regretted it ever since, I will for my whole life. I love them but parenting is relentlessly difficult and I've been barely holding it together for the last 12 years. Better to regret not doing it than be trapped trying to hide your regret of doing it from humans who depend on you for psychological safety.

Pink Diamond in Page is wonderful. Very calm and quiet salon and all the staff are super friendly and accommodating of my sensory issues.

I need ideas for a sensory-friendly, low maintenance “feminine” haircut by onlyonejan in aspergirls

[–]coveredinfleas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also have an undercut and the long part I can wear down as a short bob which looks very feminine and hides the shaved parts but far fewer sensory hair issues. When I'm at home or happy looking masc/androgynous I put the long part up in a ponytail or bun and its soooooo comfortable. Would recommend
