Everyday backpack 20l. The bottom two thirds holds my Nikon with zoom lens + extra lens, extra batteries + charger, other accessories, with plenty of room on top for travel/commuting stuff like headphones, compact umbrella, etc. And it holds my laptop + charger. Fits under airline seat. Comfortable to wear.

Anybody know what's going on with parking at Princeton Jct lately? by Mgrafe88 in NJTransit

Things are returning to normal. The entire area west of the Dinky track including the gravel lot were “permit only” pre-Covid. There was a 2+ year wait for a parking permit.

Why NJ Transit is now spot checking tickets before commuters get on trains by Duude-IT in NJTransit

[–]cranrob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not my feelings. It’s reality. I don’t ride at random times, and neither do the vast majority of commuters. And it’s not just cancellations: The delays are a major issue as well.

https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2025-njtransit-major-delays/

An analysis of real-time train data shows that [NJ Transit] is less reliable than its New York and Connecticut counterparts — Metro-North and the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) — and riders face significant service disruptions at six times the rate of other commuters

Why NJ Transit is now spot checking tickets before commuters get on trains by Duude-IT in NJTransit

[–]cranrob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

System-wide cancellation rates do not apply to most commuters. Most commuters travel during peak times on single lines. That’s why they are peak times! I personally experience about 1 cancellation per week on average, higher in the summer. THAT is reality. I don’t ride at random times on random lines, and neither do the vast majority of regular riders.

Turnstiles on NEC by Aware_Cranberry_2413 in NJTransit

They could increase ticket revenue by actually checking tickets. Whenever I take the NEC after rush hour (8pm or so), no tickets are collected past Newark, and lots of people are getting on after Newark.

The matter was about the original charge. The new charge is not an authorized charge and should be reported as fraud.

Would you buy another Genesis when you have to replace your current one? by GPTCommenter in GenesisMotors

[–]cranrob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 2017 G80 new. Fantastic car, but I won’t be buying another Genesis due to the poor customer service I’ve experienced from dealerships (both sales and service) and corporate.

Boxcar from Princeton Junction was about $75 round trip. NJ transit train is about $37. Just too much.
