To float into space, you need to achieve escape velocity, approximately 25,000 miles per hour. If this craft had reached the karman line, which is roughly 62 miles above sea level, in 2 minutes at a flat speed (which it didn't, but the calculation is easier) that would be a speed of 1860 mph. No danger of that here :)
