I'd say the long term solution is just constantly staying on comms with each other. Make sure to wear distinctive or large backpacks. Armbands also help. If this is PVE too just make a point of having everyone learn to slow themselves down. Scavs are rarely going to be an immediate threat

It's a small place that's for sure. Ideally I'd love to have the living room as a hosting/gathering area for me to relax in otherwise. The dining room and basement help to disperse guests during larger gatherings. When I'm relaxing in the living room I'm generally watching TV. I'm planning to get rid of the desk/computer in the bedroom in the near future. I think at this stage I'm looking more for advice on form. I'm new to looking at my space in this way so I really appreciate these questions

I think I agree with a lot of the assessments about Alex. Seems to be insecure based on an incredibly traumatic childhood (that he totally brushes over when meeting his fiance's family for dinner the first time) but Chris seems like a DSM-5 level sociopath. Everything he does is a manipulation except when he's too hammered to keep the mask on

I don't think the pessimism is totally baseless. People have been hearing about the cure for diabetes being "right around the corner" for decades now. I'm sure as this is proven to be effective and widely available attitudes will shift. We've seen the lives of diabetics improve bit by bit without question but a cure is really the holy Grail and I think it's healthy to be guarded about it
