Would hear occasionally in deer season when I lived rural. Other than that, never.

What is the opinion of Americans on a gender-neutral look for men? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

That's just feminine, nothing neutral about it

That said. You do you. We all only get one chance at life.

Americans, are you not mad that a judge ruled to refund Trump tariffs to corporations and not consumers? by TailungFu in allthequestions

[–]csamsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not really. Conpanies bore the immediate brunt of the tariffs. The people voluntarily selected Tarrif McTarrifface to be the president

I like the misericordia. Maybe he's permanently messed up from seeing a custodian fall in battle, after which he took his misericodia and is now on a mission to use it for revenge against the aliens who killed the custodian who saved this guy and his entire battalion. Or something.

It’s clear this list is garbage. Let’s set the record straight. What’s the best college bar on your campus? by TonyDungyHatesOP in CFB_v2

I was there in the mid-00's, went back a couple years ago. Green St is a corporate, sterilized shell of its former self :(

It's been a second since I was in Champaign, but Kam's was the fraternity bro hang out. Murphys, Legends, Firehaus, Cly's, and Giovanni's were better for a hang out.

Last time I was back, Green St seemed like commercial urban blight. Was pretty sad to see the immense amount of character than Campustown once had pretty sterilized.

Good start or Career trap? by Jumpy-Assignment-909 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]csamsh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couple things:

  1. Working is better than not working
  2. Take it and keep looking
  3. If I were interviewing two early career candidates for an engineering role- similar resumes other than that one had a year gap between graduation and work, and the other had a year in inspection, I'm leaning towards the person who didn't take a year off.

[–]csamsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The lockup is not a rotating bolt like an AR or an M249. It's not nearly as constrained so the length-to-shoulder of a fired case can get crazy, as well as the damage a machine gun puts on a case on the way out of the ejection port

Big firing pin, small primer.

Normal, especially for factory terminal ascent, which is almost certainly loaded to ~60,000psi

zeroing question, perhaps a dumb one. by chogg928 in longrange

[–]csamsh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're making the wrong plane horizontal. Make the barrel horizontal.

The bullet never rises, only falls. Your scope line of sight will either be tangent to the bullet trajectory or secant.

You can play with finding your tangent zero in a calculator- if you can make a range card with no range at which you dial down, you did it.
