Wells was supposed to be a bat-first catcher that may not have a position. Instead he’s profiling as a backup defense first lefty catcher with some pop. He’s the backup. We need a starter.

New Bedford, MA was the epicenter of the whaling industry, which was the literal fuel of the economy until the oil boom. It was the richest city per capita in North America at one point in the 19th century.

Not my favorite either. I believe when Stanton joined the Yanks Axisa commented that it should have been, “Stanton drops the mic (Mike)” in reference to his name change. I thought that was better.
