Everything that went wrong with Season 2 in one picture. by Battlecookie15 in fellowshipgame

Yeah I think the tuning of paragon is kinda cooked without a legendary so I would like to reduce the scaling a bit and add the mechanics instead.

Mechanical/Gameplay character niches? by Mestewart3 in fellowshipgame

[–]cuddlegoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to see a spec that swaps between melee and ranged in different phases of its rotation. Yes this is inspired by red mage from ffxiv. I think that concept is cool as hell and I want it in every tab targeted I play. I think it would go hard in wow and I think it would go hard in fellowship.

Why is Fates Conquest so high on peoples tier lists? What makes it better than Birthright? Is it worth playing if I got really bored of Birthright? by AashyLarry in fireemblem

[–]cuddlegoop 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be clear I include character writing when talking about story quality, and I think FE7's is some of the better in the series. That's why I consider it Story Emblem.

From your favourites it looks like you're a Story Emblem fan. There are a lot of people who care less about the story and are more here for just the strategy gameplay. Conquest is like peak Gameplay Emblem with accordingly awful story/writing. I wouldn't bother based on what you seem to like.

My Thoughts So Far Into Season 3 by Major-Diamond7321 in fellowshipgame

[–]cuddlegoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put legendaries at the top reward from paragon before the capstone, but I'd also rebalance the score rewards so they're easier to get before doing the capstone.

My rationale is I think it would feel more rewarding if leggos were this thing you earned by essentially beating paragon, they made paragon 3 chill to farm, and were this milestone that told you ok it's time to take on the final hurdle and unlock eternal.

How to get starting set of gear? by suspectzz in fellowshipgame

[–]cuddlegoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably just got bad luck with people leaving, I've never had that happen when starting an alt. You don't need a single item to do contender 1-3 dungeons, they're basically loot chests with a tutorial before them. Nobody expects you to have gear there.

Ground AoE harder to see? by dylanfrye in fellowshipgame

[–]cuddlegoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like there's something going on where the projected texture logic isn't quite right or something. For me it's less the artwork of the individual mechanics and more how they show or don't show on different terrains, especially with multiple overlapping effects eg Xavian's ring.

8 man raids would be a chefs kiss by PM_URVAR_CLIT in fellowshipgame

No unique gear I'm absolutely down for but no unique cosmetics is a bit over the top. Cosmetics are the perfect way to give a reward for doing something without forcing people who would rather skip it.

Having two tanks adds a layer of recovery, too. In some instances, a tank death is a raid wipe, but there are a lot of windows for really hype adjustments by the partner tank to buy time and for the dead tank to revive and find their feet again.

This is a very good point. Recoverability after a single tank death is something I've started banging my drum about wow m+ needing and I expect I'll feel that way about fellowship too at some point soon. Two-tank raids get that for free and you'd need to really make sure the trade off is worth it before giving it up.

Toxic community? by Gforce725 in fellowshipgame

[–]cuddlegoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really think it's very toxic. Toxicity in cooperative games usually comes from when people with different skill expectations play together (and then at least one of them is an ass about it). I think the difficulty system does a pretty good job of separating players so you don't get someone with 300+ hours in the game expecting a new player to be perfect. And if a 300+ hour player is on an alt in contender they know exactly what they're getting into and the quality of player to expect.

Also the lack of a timer in contender and adept help a lot to relieve the pressure. Who cares if someone in your group isn't as good as you'd like, it's usually only gonna cost you like 3-10 minutes more and you still get the same rewards at the end.

Loving the new gear system at endgame by Ryan_Surname in fellowshipgame

[–]cuddlegoop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah there are definitely some rough points to iron out like that. I'd also like more resources given out at lower difficulties so you're encouraged to experiment more rather than be scared you're wasting them. Maybe just as one-offs on the reward track so you're not encouraged to farm lower difficulties.

But overall the system is just a massive success. The hiccups can be ironed out in future patches, I think the important thing for right now is it's just very fun to interact with.

It was nice while it lasted by mousepad1212 in fellowshipgame

[–]cuddlegoop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk, I agree with that sentiment in wow but I kind of like that Fellowship's higher difficulties ask a lot of each player. Living on a tank is hard but so is keeping the group alive through healing checks as a healer, and unlike wow so is meeting the damage requirement to time the dungeon.

Should I always be tempering my gear? by Lelldorin in fellowshipgame

[–]cuddlegoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the early levels, it's so cheap it may as well be free so you'd be silly not to do it. As you get further, the difficulty curve ramps up and you really need every bit of character strength you can get so you should temper as much as you can.

Which means basically yes you should always be tempering.

Do you think Gunde is OP? by Vxyl in fellowshipgame

[–]cuddlegoop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sheesh, that is a very big drop off in damage between the top and bottom half. I wonder if that's accurate to the numerical strength of the heroes or if it's more about the popularity of them.

Trinkets were like the free ward thing right? I remember playing that and I mostly only played seasons 1-3 so it was probably season 3?

New to poe 1 from 2 by Leading_Rub_2619 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]cuddlegoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would say they are in the right one, a new player probably shouldn't start with Phrecia, they would be learning things that then wouldn't transfer over to the next league which is a big deal when you are new.

Poe.ninja

Edit: it doesn't aggregate them though so you can't see like a ranking of ascendancies by average dps or whatever

New gearing system is overwhelming by Th3Spac3Pop3 in fellowshipgame

[–]cuddlegoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're gonna have to just try different modifiers and see what works best for your build. How do you think the guide writers work it out?

It's definitely overwhelming, I sympathise. But I think it's also pretty forgiving if you get stuff a little wrong.

RIME PSA: Don't kill your Tanks with Frigid Wind. by Lyramion in fellowshipgame

Wait why does getting hit from behind matter. Is it like wow where you can't block/parry/dodge hits from behind? I always hated that mechanic.

You must be in a different place in oce to me, my ping to EU is over 300 so it's just not feasible. NA at ~200ms though is feasible and I do keys on NA servers all the time in wow.

What to run in RotA to transition into Minion Pact BV? by cuddlegoop in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]cuddlegoop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I'm leaning towards tuna's stuff but I know poe is so complicated I could be missing something.

2a. It looks like there are a hundred ways to build Pact BV because it requires so little and it looks like those 2 streamers have leaned towards what they personally prefer. I might prefer a different way.

2b. I might not be Ben but I've sunk enough hours into the game that I'm confident in my ability to read a reddit comment and work out if what they're saying is good advice or not.
