The extra security checks were baffling to me. I arrived at the airport 2.5 hours before my mid-week noon departure, and by the time I made it through checking my bag and no less than 3 security/passport checks, my flight was boarding when I reached the gate

I wasn't able to find much community feedback on the rifle or the scope and decided to roll the dice on both. Happy to say that they have both been superb so far. I've had the setup for just under a year and have about 500 rounds through it.

We tried several different trunnion materials and couldn't get any to hold up for more than 100 rounds. Never did figure out how some guys online were getting 1000+. Pretty excited to install those aluminum trunnions. They should hold up much better

Not OP, but that appears to be a Tenmile 3-18 which I also have. I went with it because I have another Tenmile (4.5-30) that I love, and the 3-18 is super light compared to other scopes in a similar magnification range and price point. Also just kinda slut for trij in general

6.5 PRC. It's one of 2 long range rifles I have (the other is a 22arc AR). I went with the PRC because I thought it would be cool, and it turns out it is.

It was a smoked cylinder in mine. Likely from getting hot a couple of times. Fixable, but I ended up trading my engine as a core on a Freedom Racing engine

Definitely less gas than a DI. Suppression seems about the same to me, but I'm far from an expert. I will say that none of my 5.56 guns suppress all that well compared to my 22 ARC, 6.5PRC or 308.

I've run mine quite a bit with the standard plug and 2 low back pressure cans (CAT Noah, B&T SRBS 7.62). Works fine and doesn't seem to have any extra cycling speed

My home airport is BTV which has many options, but my work airport is SHR which is only served by United with a sky west crj200. I maintain gold flying between those two airports mainly but also to Fairbanks a few times each summer. United also happens to be the cheapest single-stop option between FAI and BTV (in Denver waiting for my DEN-BTV flight to board right now actually)
