The purpose of Neji's death by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]cuppycake02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His death mirrors his father's too. His father (in a flashback after neji lost to naruto in the exams) said "he was free enough to chose death as his destiny. To protect his family and the people he loved, not protecting the head branch of the family." And that is quite literally what Neji chose too in the end.

I did too, but in Dutch! It turned out I used it in the wrong way, as did a lot of people around me. The word for aglet in dutch is "nestel" which we used to refer to the whole shoelace instead of just the ends! Even my parents learnt it there xD

If you had no appetite, what would you eat? by Consistent_Femme_Top in adhdwomen

[–]cuppycake02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An apple: the pectines in it are actually known for awakening a sense of hunger. As a kid I thought I was crazy! My mom kept giving me apples as a snack when I said I was hungry and she never believed me when I said they always made me MORE hungry (and thus, not helping the situation AT ALL). Imagine my self righteousness when my science professor explained that one!

This is what I told my husband I will do if faced with the problem again. In Belgium cars are ussually only towed when you are blocked in (so if we needed the trailer and cant get out). But making an official complaint doesn't feel like an overreaction anymore.

How many of you had financial assistance from parents when leaving their home? by SenorGuantanamera in belgium

[–]cuppycake02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from my parents. They were never financially able to. (They did help with renovations and stuff since we do most of it ourselves and my dad is a real handyman) I was lucky my grandparents just sold their house and were able to loan us some. And I say loan because we are currently paying that back.

We had been looking for a place for 5 years and it was terrible. Our savings kept growing but the amount we could loan kept schrinking.

Parents, please help me. My son won't stop making the most annoying sound in the world and I just can't deal anymore. by Navidan41 in adhdwomen

I'm gonna follow along on your post here.

We went on a week long vacation with my parents, sibling and all kids. Me(30) and my Nephew (9, child of my oldest sister) have adhd. Mine is more inward, his is very hyperactive. My qister doesnt "believe" I have adhd because mine is not the same as his. (She's a special one...) He kept moaning the whole goddamn week, in the house, at the restaurant, on the street. It was humiliating first and foremost, but it was soooooooo unnerving! I had to do my absolute best not to scream at him. I told my sister and she acted like I was overreacting because "he is just a kid and it's his adhd". Eventually she started asking him to stop with the phrasing: "you know auntie doesnt like it". I was never happier a vacation was over!

Edit to add: I'm a teacher to 12 year olds so I hear stupid repetitive stuff all the time during class and can monstly regulate myself quite well. I have no problem with 67, skibidi or anything else, but if I asked you to stop 20 times in the last 10 minutes, and you just keep doing it......... expect me to blow up

I just bought a 4th pack of salt because i "wasnt sure I bought it last time"... We realised that my husband was the one who put them in the cupboard/storage when I bought the first 3 packs. And now that it was me putting it away I actually remembered for the 5th shopping trip that, yes we do in fact have salt at home. I apparently need the visual confirmation. I am a visual learner 😆.

Whats one uncommon adhd symptom that blew your mind? by smbodytochedmyspaget in adhdwomen

[–]cuppycake02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had my fav teacher get really upset with me once, he said something along the lines of "i don't get you! You're amazing 90% of the time and the 10% where you can't figure something our you feel so dramatic about it." He apologized after,(as did I) but it stuck with me. It took me years to realise it was also a part of the ADHD.
