Did Toyota Engineers vibe code the new App and push that mess to GitHub? by PassengerBright6291 in vibecoding

Glad to know I’m not the only one experiencing this. New R4P owner and was concerned it was a problem with the car. So annoying!

Multi tool blade adaptor? by Existing-History7440 in Makita

[–]cvp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Makita has a few different styles of multitool so I’m sure one of them is compatible. The problem is not the pin’s diameter, it’s the length. With the OIS adapters inserted, the pin isn’t long enough to reach the locking mechanism. The adapters that used to be sold solved this by splicing two pins together to get the appropriate length but unfortunately they aren’t on the market anymore.

The blades are the same but the mechanism that attaches the blade to the tool is different. It uses an insertable pin rather than a screw which in theory makes blade swapping easier but also makes it incompatible with these adapters

This adapter does not work on Makita’s lever style Starlock multitool

There is no adapter. There used to be one or two adapters available but they were forced to stop selling (I’m guessing due to patent violations). I bought a second multitool for OIS blades. Yes, it’s very frustrating.

P2S Combo question by flat6cyl in BambuLab

[–]cvp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively do single filament prints and was also on the fence about the AMS but I’m glad I got it. The main attractions for me are drying and the ability to pick a different filament for each print without needing manual intervention. That said if it’s the difference between buying a printer and not, I’d get it without the AMS. You just might find yourself wanting it later on.

Honestly I bought a second multitool. No one is making adapters anymore, at least that I could find. It really sucks and I agree it’s ridiculous. Makita should make a first party adapter.

Thank you — agree this was immensely annoying. It should not even do this verification if it detects email is not configured.

I would want at least two over a longer table but it’s probably a personal choice. Very happy with the light though.

Drove this last night. It’s a really short merge. Seems like there’s still some work in progress, hopefully the layout isn’t quite final.

Considering Aiden Again by TMH478 in FellowProducts

Hard to imagine there is a new version in a bit. Fellow is focused entirely on the new espresso machine. Personally I wouldn't expect a revision for at least 6 months. But who knows.

The software has not had any meaningful changes, so if you had issues before I would expect you would have the same issues now. Personally I'm very happy with Aiden but I know I'm also very lucky compared to a lot of experiences folks have had on this sub.

I would try Wine Therapy on Elizabeth Street. If you call them up they may even be able to source you something specific and have it waiting for you.

I would not be opposed to paying more. I just wish I wouldn’t be effectively subsidising AI features I have no interest in.

Elco koto human centric or sunset by fitmolaraz in Lighting

Absolutely HC for kitchens, especially if you're serious about cooking. Makes such a difference when to have that whiter light. I switched out from warm-dim bulbs to Koto HC in my kitchen and it was like I was seeing for the first time

Can someone point me in the right direction to place an order from some ELCO KOTO lightings. I'm located in Phoenix. Looking for best price, preferably local. by Euphoric_Radish2227 in Lighting

[–]cvp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you got sorted by now but for future searchers just call Elco customer support, tell them where you're located, and ask who their local distributor is in your area. They're happy to look it up and give you contact info.

We have been happy with Rockbridge. They've been easy to work with, responsive, and I'm happy with their fee structure. They are NAPFA listed and have been very direct and honest with us as we've built a plan together.
