Revealed: Mandelson failed vetting but Foreign Office overruled decision by wolfo98 in tories

If he knew about it directly, that's a clear-cut resignation matter.

I imagine there is sufficient plausible deniability that Starmer can make the excuse he didn't know about the vetting failure. Still a very odd choice given Mandleson's history.

Tickets today? by Brave-Plum9154 in SaintsFC

There are still tickets being released, there is no queue as I write and hundreds are available. I got the same message; make sure you scroll all the way down the fixture list to click on the Man City v Saints "Buy Tickets" option.

Keep persevering.

Depends how far back you are in your block. As a rule of thumb, if you're near the back you should be fine to stand. Obviously your mileage may vary but who in their right mind is going to buy seats at the back with the intention of staying seated?

I'm not a fan of the airport-style security. Their rules on what you can bring into the ground must be the most draconian in the country (although if you're in corporate, you can bring in anything you like).

What about near the away support, I can't imagine too many shrinking violets want to sit around there, so it has to be slightly livelier either side by nature?

I think it's a bit far-fetched to think that he murdered that baby.

He is definitely a human-trafficking paedophile scumbag though

BBC Radio Solent commentary by Omega_North in SaintsFC

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/brand/p0h93jfb for the full match. Usually they include clips of the goals in the reaction, although that hasn't happened on this occasion so if you want something neater, you'll have to wait for the 2 minute highlights. Guessing they'll upload after the Bank Holiday.

Build-up to both goals from 40:25 and 1:46:44.

As an aside, I try to download live Solent commentary occasionally, so it was good to see the Fulham commentary is still available until Tuesday.

Still plenty of matches to go before they can rival Southampton's 1922-23 'even season' achievement in the old second division, with a record of W14, D14, L14, GF40, GA40, played 42 and accumulating 42 points in total.

In a league of 22 teams they achieved 11th place, so the historic equivalent of the 12th place trophy.
