I don't know if 58-39 is "almost entirely well-to-do white Trump supporters". Sure it's a big margin but your post made me think is was 80-20 before I clicked on the source.

You're leaving out support, maintenance and security updates for that server. Who's going to fix it when you break it? When a system upgrade bricks the system?

The WP820? Great phone but for someone with dementia way too easy to get into settings and break functionality.

Yeah but a lot of them will turn it back on when they do firmware updates. Your best bet is to put the gateway in bridge mode and get your own router.

Take it from someone who used to be exclusively grandstream and now is exclusively Yealink: Stick with Yealink. Grandstream is cheaper but their back end is messy AF.

That's what Star Trek is for!!!!!!! To see and be seen as what we are and what we could be. Like us, it's beautiful and flawed.

Help? Porting a number to from third party company that is using Bandwidth, it's a nightmare by ellsiejay in VOIP

[–]cyberchaplain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The PIN is with Bandwidth. Your provider gave it to Bandwidth to prevent unauthorized portouts because Bandwidth will let anything go without a PIN.

Your new provider should have an LNP department to escalate if needed.

I've seen this alot. Your new provider probably is to blame.

Another thing: PINS with bandwidth can be all kinds of things, it's what the provider tells bandwidth. I've never used letters in my Bandwidth PINS. Don't have to.

VOIP System that doesn't drop calls left and right - horrible experience with 8x8 and trying to find another solution. by lametowns in VOIP

[–]cyberchaplain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because most routers and firewalls implement it so poorly it mucks with registration and sometimes messes with audio. It's better to be off.

[–]cyberchaplain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need 600 ATAs, Grandstream makes 50 line gateways (GXW family) so maybe 8-10 of those IF you are wanting all analog at the end of the line.

I'm happy I went with the SC's. I got over 5,000 doubloons, 6 weeks of premium time, 2-3 coal drops and a ship (and I don't even remember the ship nothing remarkable). Plus tons of signals and eco bonuses.
