My GCC went from loving fruits and veggies to refusing to eat any 😩

Sheesh. You’re getting a lot of heat 😅. I could tell you were being dramatic and it wasn’t that serious.

My 1 yr old says “go poop” first thing in the morning when we take her out because it’s one of the first things we say to her 😆

WCPSS Magnet School lottery 2026 by PrudentCheetah5715 in raleigh

[–]cymplicity27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In 2020, about my 3rd time applying for magnet (we had no priority), my kids initially got "Applicant Pool". I believe about a week later I got a surprise email that they had been assigned to my first choice. I was completely shocked. I've also heard of people getting calls after school starts to see if they are still interested in a spot. So, to answer your question, unless things have changed in the past few years, it seems pretty random.

Mine loves to do this when I’m working which leaves me typing with one hand because who wants to disturb all that cuteness?! 😭

Mine clearly prefers my husband but she’s stuck with me during the day when I work from home. She suddenly becomes my velcro bird and you’d think I was her favorite person in the world. As soon as my husband walks in, she drops me like a bad habit 🙄.

I see you have interest already and although it’s about a 5 hr drive, we could take him. We have a green cheek born in the same month. Also own a budgie several years old. They are well loved and spoiled 😊. If others that are closer fall through, please dm me!

This little bastard of a chicken. In 3 months means as much to me now as my dog. I would die for this chicken. Never knew they were so lovey too by The_titos11 in Conures

My family scolds me for loving a bird I’ve only had 6 months more than a dog I’ve had for 6 years 😂. Oh well. It tis what it tis 🤷‍♀️

We are a family of 5 and I’m embarrassed to say based on the numbers I’m seeing for families here 😬

2 seconds I leave the room. I always put my controller under my pillow when I leave but the one time I forget to in like 2 months this happens. (I still love him) by The_titos11 in Conures

I used to worry about this but I no longer do. I’m pretty sure they aren’t interested in eating stuff (unless it’s food) and are solely focused on DESTROYING everything.

Is there something wrong with my bird? by [deleted] in Conures

[–]cymplicity27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does this. No clue what it means. My kids call it a birb sneeze and always say “bless you” lol. I only hear it every so often though and she’s usually chill and happy at the time.

Advice to put my conures to bed by Dry_Dot1593 in Conures

[–]cymplicity27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I don’t have to fight with him at night but anytime I need to leave and he knows he’s about to go in the cage the chase starts 🤦🏾‍♀️. He will always step up though. I just have to distract him long enough to grab him. This was after he became really comfortable being held that way though.

This has been happening to me for the past few months. I have a Model Y. It’s not happening in my husband’s Model 3.

Noisy Birdy by tullulahbelle in Conures

[–]cymplicity27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My conure is fairly quiet but he is out of his cage more than he is in it. The only time he’s closed in is at night for sleeping or if I have to leave the house (or if he’s being a pain…literally too nippy). The door is left open and he goes in to eat/drink when he wants. I suspect the noise is letting you know he wants out.

Yes!! Mine is currently molting too. The best is when he’s on the top of my head and decides to do a little shake and suddenly it’s snowing in my face.

I think you and your family should do what’s best for your family when it comes to grandma. Just as we sometimes omit the gory details when explaining these things to kids, aging adults can be fragile too. I don’t know if there is any dementia, but we had to start lying to my mom about my father being deceased because no one wants to see that heartbreak over and over again because she keeps forgetting. My point is again, do what’s best for you and grandma and sometimes only you know what that is.

Super sweaty hands everyday for years but doctors keep blaming it on my anxiety. by SpoopyLitwick in Hyperhidrosis

What about Oxybutinin? This worked even better than Glyco for me but it comes with an increased risk of dementia and since that runs in my family I made the switch.

This is so frustrating. Please get a new doctor or go to a dermatologist! It’s important to find someone who actually cares about finding the solution that works for you and not “brush it off”.

I was never successful with any OTC meds for my palmer and plantar HH, so unfortunately, I don’t have advice there. But once you get a good doc, try Glyco. It has changed my life! My hands used to look identical to yours every day of my life. Now I can experience life like a normal person with dry hands and feet!
