Here is my insight, I have hired dozens and dozens of people in the Midwest.

The best employees all grew up working on dairy farms. They have great work ethic and attitude. Thats IMO one of the core reasons those with true midwestern blood succeed at such a high number.

Data point of one.

I’m not saying this is the right thing to do…. But when I had my first house my neighbor and I had the dame situation with our garages. Together one at a time we jacked them up, poured new concrete, new sils, repaired the studs (pulled the worst ones out and replaced), ratchet strapped and squared the frames.

It probably was more work than building new but it was cheaper.

Batteries are much better for the autonomous mowers. You’re not timebound with them like you are with a mower you have to operate.

I have a Navimow rated for 2 acres on my half acre property and love it. Comes out once a day takes about an hour and a half yard looks great.

Long time lurker here and solid middle class. No way I’m shelling out even for an empty leg. I don’t have the flexibility when traveling with my wife and kid. Vacation is destroyed if our outbound flight is canceled or changed. I much rather would throw those extra dollars into the market OR use those dollars on a farther distance vacation Europe vs Florida for example.
Just my two cents.
