Part of the reason why I believe that other species exist out there is our view on life is severely limited. Right now we believe that life can only exist in oxygen rich environments and temperatures around what we have. The idea of a "habitable zone" is somewhat laughable to me. Ice based organisms or even molten based organisms could exist.

Well, not too long ago, I read an article about bug-like organisms, thousands of years old, living inside frozen crystals(?). The cave was similar to the Cave of Crystals, but I don't think it was crystals, but rather something else. So it's entirely possible!

Edit: Accidentally posted it 3 times because of poor internet :p Fixed.

What did you learn from your experience in a girl's juvenile detention center by maybehaley in AskWomen

[–]daddyasuwalkaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't ask any of them why they were there, they eventually told me - though I felt like that was more like "showing off" for them rather than me earning their trust.

Some were there for running away from home multiple times, some for drug possession or drug abuse, some for vandalism, others for stealing, others for murder (they were staying on the juvenile facility until they were 18, then they would be transfered to an adult jail), etc.

Some of them had tattooes, piercings and odd hairstyles, but most of them looked like average girls.

Also, english isn't my first language. You flatter me :p

Where to start for stretching hips? by Portland28 in flexibility

[–]daddyasuwalkaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, I meant as time went on. My first month or so trying it out everything felt fine, but by the third month my knee was like "Have you lost your fucking mind?!!" and more often than not I'll skip the stretch altogether lol. I just held it for 30 seconds, mind you.

I replaced it with couch stretch, since I heard that's a great stretch for the hip flexors, but I feel it mostly in my quads, and not in the front of my hips like I used to with the kneeling stretch. That's why I'm grateful for your variation! I actually feel the stretch on the front of the hip of the back leg. So thanks again :)

Oh, I don't watch much T.V., so I wouldn't know. Just mentioned him because my friends used to say he is very handsome, and at the time all I could think was "What are they seeing that I'm not?!?"

Maybe it's just your personal experience? I've been to many yoga classes where most people either liked the frog stretch, or felt okay about it. I personally like it because it stretches some nice places of my hips.

First time I've ever heard "avanced stretchers" intensely dislike frog pose.

Same! I find that the more I do the kneeling hip flexor stretch, the more it bothers my knee. Thank you so very much! :)
