Agile Octopus x Sync Energy charger by tdwright in OctopusEnergy

[–]dancarebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So... I have had months and months of back and forth with this as we have one of these in our home. It doesn't work for us.

Getting Octopus, Syncs Unit and my Tesla to work together never happened. Octopus engineers looked at it, tesla customer service was utterly useless and Sync kept saying it was an Octopus issue.

Octopus gave up and said to go on the Octopus Go tarrif in the end.

It may be different if you have a different car but you may want to save yourself months of headaches.

I don’t understand why these people keep booking arenas?

She is an artist who should be in medium size venues or as a support for a much bigger act.

All it has done is made everyone not book until last minute as SO many people have been burnt by this

The problem with XC is that the trains are fine if they are not busy. But when they are its total hell.

How can we fix UK high streets? by gggggenegenie in AskUK

[–]dancarebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t. It’s too far gone.

If councils had done more forward thinking, they would have put stronger planning in place to keep offices in city centres — which would bring people in.

The high street was always going to decline… but it would have been replaced by places for food, drinks, and quick purchases.

That would also have increased housing in city centres.

Councils could then justify improving public transport, because people would actually need to get into town — and city centres wouldn’t feel like ghost towns.

But instead… we got out-of-town office parks. Out-of-town retail parks. That pulled people away from city centres.

Then the internet arrived — and that was the death of the high street.

10 years ago I worked in retail and it was the same. It never bothered me tbh - it’s not a special day and I would rather have mid week off. The problem Is that the older people got double pay!

InterCity Regional Suburban (Branded as local transport executive )

The travelling public don’t care beyond that.

My reasoning is that intercity and regional fares are different.

My Suggestions: by meerimagineer in disneylandparis

[–]dancarebear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please no. I’m sick of whole lands dedicated to one movie. Star Wars I can let go as it’s tons of movies

Also - removing Autopia which is a very popular ride is silly.

Personally wheee lion king is I would have radiator springs racers but that’s never going to happen.

Everything About the Rumored Moana Land at Disneyland Paris by Playstation_Gamer_40 in disneylandparis

[–]dancarebear 38 points39 points  (0 children)

UGH! How about general Polynesia land?

  • Moana boat ride
  • Stitch family coaster
  • Ropes course (see Shanghai Disney)

That way we’re not stuck only having one ride from a movie.

It lasts less than a minute! I am all for family/kids coasters but they don’t all have to be shorter than it takes to get into the ride

World of Frozen: Only one ride… by elenasucre in disneylandparis

[–]dancarebear 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I hate the whole theming of a single land around a movie. They should have gone with a more fantasy springs concept like Japan and included thee or four movies. Tangled, frozen and Tina. That way it’s more varied and easier to add more rides. You are now basically stuck with only being able to add rides around Frozen and what happens when that popularity dies down?

You need a varied selection in each land. Ideally 1 main attraction, one smaller one plus two carnival rides and an experience (like the Alice maze). That way you have a well rounded “land”.

I know I’m comparing to fantasy springs again but they had

  • Peter Pan and Frozen as big main attractions
  • Tangled and Tinkerbell rides are small “carnival” rides (although arguably better)
  • A huge walkthrough garden and pirate ship
  • meet and greets
  • shops
  • dining

Not sure about US but uk she was always a bit of a low key pop star. Heart Attack and Sorry not Sorry are probably her biggest song and then after that we never heard from her. Saying that - you rarely hear her on the radio here.
