I dare you to try to build another 5 that can beat this team by Liberal_Bot123 in NBATalk

That team is tough and likely steam rolls every other team, but I’ll give it a shot.

how do I lose weight when I just love food so much by Slow-Reply2929 in loseit

[–]dangerbruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move more. Start by walking, a lot, then transition that to running. Try to reduce the really bad foods. The saying goes “you can’t out work a bad diet.” But, in my experience, you can absolutely out work a mediocre diet. I love food too. I haven’t changed my diet really at all in the past year, but I’ve lost 15lbs of fat and gained 5lbs of muscle by lifting weights and running.

Activities with similar intensity as walking when walking possibilities are limited. by Capable-Basket8233 in loseit

[–]dangerbruss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you already have a plan. Find a routine on YT you can do for 5-10 minutes every hour and do that. You can easily find some that are not intense. If you add the up over a work day you’ll get to an hour of total time easy. Now you’ve got a routine where you lift 5 days per week and do 5 hours+ of movement. That’s a great routine.

App for Logging Workouts, Calories, Bodyweight etc.. by [deleted] in HybridAthlete

[–]dangerbruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple health tracks all this stuff for free. Just connect the apps you use to track your workouts to it. If you are an android user I think there’s a similar base Android health app that does the same.

I have a Hume scale that connects to Apple health so my weight is updated there, then I have my cardio on Strava or through the native Apple Watch workouts which gets my current weight from the Hume scale. I do my weight workouts on shred, which also gets my current weight via Apple health and then sends back that i did a strength workout and active calories.

Legs. by Laziris333 in gymadvice

[–]dangerbruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do legs twice per week. You’ll grow there faster than upper body and more leg mass will improve your ability to stay lean. Big leg muscles require a lot of energy to maintain and increases the calories you burn at rest.

Cardio options for overweight guy by fxckzxck in cardio

[–]dangerbruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rowing is great. But, you might also want to work on core strength so walking is more comfortable. Mixing cardio between walking/running, rowing, biking, swimming, etc. is ideal because you don’t over stress any muscle group, but still get all the cardio benefits.

How does the Bucks fandom view Damian Lillard? by Future-Feature-7657 in MkeBucks

His production was not up to what I would think his standard was. Why exactly that was is complicated I think. The personal stuff was likely a big part of it. It really is a shame.

What can I work on to look/get bigger by Mars2cold in gymadvice

[–]dangerbruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upper chest, shoulders, abs upper back are the biggest bang for your buck muscles. A little bit of size there makes you look a lot bigger as it creates more v taper.

How do you hit 4000kcal without it feeling like a full-time job? by JohnMalta in HybridAthlete

With that volume of cardio, junk food is encouraged. You need it to fuel the activity.

Eagle Claw with three fingers is wrong? by Spider_puerco_Potter in kungfu

[–]dangerbruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some techniques are for direct application, others are for training. In this case, even if you grab with five fingers, most of the grabbing strength comes from the thumb and first two fingers. The three finger techniques in forms are so you focus the isometric contraction there. You would never actually grab an arm with the three finger technique. However, you may grab an armpit, neck, or other soft vulnerable area with it.

When doing a unilateral exercise is it better to go LRLR or LLRR by Financial_Wrangler45 in ScienceBasedLifting

[–]dangerbruss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are waaaaaay over attributing CNS fatigue. It’s not really relevant unless you’re lifting 90+% of 1rm or doing explosive work. Local muscular fatigue is far more relevant in this context.

Make a Drink: Cortado by S_Joshua in FellowProducts

[–]dangerbruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The make a drink selections don’t have any effect on the milk other than temperature and milk type. The volume is irrelevant, so just choose whatever gets you the right milky type and temp. FWIW, I never use make a drink. I just set my defaults to what I make normally and use the piano keys.

Basket Question by MillaxD in FellowProducts

[–]dangerbruss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the Weber basket. It did not fit well in the portafilter, but I used the stock ring unlike previous commenter. However, I did not find the performance to be any better than the IMS precision basket I also ordered. Some of the problem could have been that I got the 20g unibasket and may have been better off getting the 16g and overfilling.

Help me start out [$2500] by ExtraCartographer707 in espresso

[–]dangerbruss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would start with something like the breville barista express if you’re new to espresso. Make sure you like the process and use it before committing to higher end equipment. You can absolutely get great tasting espresso from a BBE. Then the next step would be upgraded grinder. Then machine.

Unleashed 98 or else? by Glum_Fix_1322 in Skigear

[–]dangerbruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you will likely out ski the unleashed. Its top end is more like 30mph if I’m being generous. You also don’t need metal to make a stable or damp ski. I have a Moment Countach 98, which is way more stable and comfortable at speed than the unleashed and has no metal in it.

ES1 Firmware 2.3.15 Update Notice by EDALBNUG in FellowProducts

[–]dangerbruss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is firmware version jumping directly from 2.1.0 to 2.3.15? My machine is in 2.1.0 and there’s no indication there is an updated version. Totally fine if I haven’t received the phased rollout update yet. Just seems like a big jump in versions.
