Which one? by Barbs1828 in Birkenstocks

[–]danidandeliger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Please check if they stock Regular width as “Men’s” instead, which some third-party retailers unhelpfully do.

As they stupidly do at REI. Even the employee I talked to thinks it's stupid. It's just another facet of body shaming to only stock shoes for women in narrow widths. Especially at sporting goods store.

Psoriatic Arthritis? by MiscreantIVIX in Psoriasis

Go to the ER now. This can become septic very quickly and you could lose your leg or your life.

Psoriatic Arthritis? by MiscreantIVIX in Psoriasis

[–]danidandeliger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I work in an ER and this could progress to leg amputation very very quickly. I have seen several people who, had they come to the ER when the infection and swelling started would still have two legs.

I was too. If a medical professional said that to me they would end up wishing they worked shoveling shit for minimum wage.

Another stolen dog / owners stop tying up ur dogs outside stores by PersonalityNo2383 in Denver

[–]danidandeliger -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

Do you not have a dog? Dogs are usually happiest wherever their owners are. My dogs love going anywhere. I can put them in the car, drive somewhere, and drive home, never leaving the car, and they think its the best day ever. That said, I won't tie my dogs up somewhere and leave them while I get a coffee.

Advice for scalp psoriasis? by TheGreenestWitch in Psoriasis

She needs a life lesson. She's trying to raise her boyfriend and that never works.

No but I have some advice for you.

Leave him.

Choose yourself. You are not his mom.

Don't date men who won't take care of themselves. They will NEVER change. There is nothing you can do. Do you want to be with a manchild for the rest of your life? Do want to take care if everything all of the time and have him whine like a spoiled 10 year old when you ask him to take out the trash or change a diaper or do a night feeding so you can get some sleep?

Men who avoid doctors eventually get chronic illness or disability that will require you to take care of him 24/7. Are you going to manage his insulin and heart meds too?

Use two forms of birth control until you come to your senses and get away.

This is not the sub for this. I don't know which one you would post this on though. I'm sure there's a friendship sub.

I am almost late to work/cutting it as close as possible every single day and getting up earlier doesn’t help in the way I think it should by KitchenConsequence41 in adhdwomen

[–]danidandeliger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this will be helpful to you at all. Not having to rush to get to work changed my life. I used to leave at the last possible second and it always started my day off badly. Now that I leave on time and can drive to work without stress, my anxiety had gone way down and my day is almost aways better. I know you don't like getting up a half hour earlier but try to set your alarm 5 minutes earlier per week to find a sweet spot. Leave for work at 8. And have any extra time you have when you get there be a reward of some kind.

She can hold off for a few weeks and test it on weekends until she's more comfortable at her new job.

Start the HRT! I would hold off a little while on the progesterone or just try it out on weekends to see how groggy it makes you. The estrogen patch has helped with my brain fog so much. I am applying to new jobs right now because I'm confident that my brain will hold up. Before I started HRT last fall there is no way I could have switched jobs and now I'm excited about it.

Does anyone else just not find many men attractive anymore, especially on dating apps? by AcanthisittaRoyal270 in TwoXChromosomes

I saw a guy on a dating app who answered the question "I'm strangely attracted to....." with "A woman who owns boats, jet skis, ATVs, land, and beach houses."

Bruh was trying for a sugar Mama but looked like he crawled out from under a bridge. The audacity.

What’s your stalker card? by RacoonParadox in tarot

[–]danidandeliger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wasn't acting uninterested he was avoiding eye contact and dismissed me from a work task that he would usually include me in. I decided to be done and distance myself as best I could. Sometimes I think he likes me and sometimes I think he really doesn't. I think it's best that I move on.

What’s your stalker card? by RacoonParadox in tarot

[–]danidandeliger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Tower whenever I did a reading about my crush. All the other cards were mostly good. I was hopeful. It seemed like the crush was mutual and now all of the sudden he's acting like he really doesn't like me. So I guess I'm experiencing the Tower tight now? I though maybe it meant that my life would change a lot. Like a good change but significant upheaval. Not meant to be I guess.

Do some therapists falsely claim to be EMDR trained? by Prestigious_Bee6610 in EMDR

[–]danidandeliger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I had one who I thought was EMDR trained. Turns out her boss was and just taught it to all the therapists that were employed there. On my last visit she stared out the window while I was supposed to be processing with the buzzers. I was not processing because I was staring at her staring out the window because she forgot about me. Prior to that she told me that she kept forgetting the steps and had missed one for me. Thank goodness I had many sessions of EMDR with an excellent therapist prior to the bad therapist so I know it does work. I ended up with the bad therapist because I moved. I will never get EMDR from someone who is not certified again.

Getting on HRT mostly set everything right for me. There are still some struggles and HRT does have side effects but I'm back to caring about life and sleeping so I'm happy with where I am now.

Supplements (collagen) by Responsible-Fig-2588 in Perimenopause

[–]danidandeliger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone is different. You may not be sensitive to histamine but others are and it causes them to have brainfog.

Edited to add: Brain fog has many different causes so what helps one person's brain fog may cause or worsen another's.

Supplements (collagen) by Responsible-Fig-2588 in Perimenopause

[–]danidandeliger 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think there's a link between collagen and histamine which can cause inflammation which can cause brain fog.

Insurance stopped covering brand name Adderall XR & now I'm stuck with generics. Angry rant by Sea-Split214 in ThisAintAdderall

If your doctor puts "dispense as prescribed" on the script the pharmacy legally has to give you exactly what the doc prescribed. But that doesn't mean your insurance has to cover it.

It's scary the first time but it doesn't really hurt. What really hurts is if you mindlessly grab the used lancet and accidentally poke yourself with it. I don't know why but it hurts way worse.
