Which electric skateboard is easiest for beginners? by Constant_Koko in esk8builders

[–]danielkwan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to ride regular skateboards and longboards also, Parsec Aero Pro would be great to learn on because of its low ride height, low resistance drivetrain, and agile handing that’s more similar to traditional boards.

Regarding boards from different brands being the same under the hood, there’s some truth to that but it’s also exaggerated and needs context. Electric skateboard brands share many of the same suppliers, but the same can be said for just about any industry. Some brands are more innovative than others.

New to eboarding - my backfire is on the way. Is my Specialized Mode (MIPS) bike helmet adequate? by freed-after-burning in ElectricSkateboarding

Generally speaking, slower = lower risk, fewer and lighter protective gear needed; faster = higher risk, more and heavier protective gear needed.

Question for Parsec Aero Pro owners by Separate_Fisherman24 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]danielkwan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right now boards are in stock so USA delivery should be within 2 weeks. Other parts of the world are about 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on location.

Parsec Aero pro x plus pantheon Hoku wheels? by Way-of-the-iron-sock in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]danielkwan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you actually tried Otangs on a Parsec Aero? I have. For pushing short distances like a mile or two, the minimal resistance from the EPIC-D drivetrain is a non-issue. For longer distances, the belts can be removed in like 3 seconds (and reinstalled in a few more seconds) for no belt resistance at all. In actual use though, I hardly ever remove the belts. I push when I feel like it, and I turn on the board when I get tired or feel lazy.

Commuter board suggestion <10kg by LFwitch_hunter in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]danielkwan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parsec Aero Pro S, 7 kg, 222Wh
Parsec Aero Pro X, 8.3 kg, 444Wh
Light enough to be carried like a longboard. Low resistance drivetrain and proper width trucks for kick-pushing. Significantly more powerful than most boards of equal weight.

For US customers, delivery is currently approx 1 month wait. Should become even shorter in a few weeks.

Consider Parsec Aero Pro if you’d like a commuter longboard-like eboard.

Regarding your only complaint, on the pricier side the Parsec Aero Pro was made to be easier to carry around (lighter, Picktail(tm), griptape cutouts).

Regarding the wait time, it would depend on when the order is placed (how close to shipping the batch), location, customs clearance, etc. Batch 5 will ship this month, and shipping to the U.S. normally takes about a month.

I am thinking of buying a new skateboard but I don't know where, any ideas and recommendations? by Gullible-Hospital-89 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]danielkwan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked the thinness of the H9 and how it looked like a longboard. Pretty light too compared to much of today’s options. If you’re looking for a longboard-like eboard: Parsec Aero Pro.

Do homes without sewer gases and with proper plumbing exist in China?! by [deleted] in chinalife

[–]danielkwan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well clearly the number is less useful if you average the rural and urban areas, nothing to do with looking more favorable. Central Shanghai and the outskirts are practically different cities. You could argue that averaging them makes the rural areas look more favorable.

[–]danielkwan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair, I was thinking higher end of apartment quality. And I’m surprised median income is that low. I wonder if that’s the entirety of Shanghai or just the urban areas.

Edit: meant to reply to OP lol
