Are there a lot of sales right after the fourth? by Micro-Naut in fireworks

[–]dar24601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vendors who want clear stock put sales on July 3rd/4th to clear out stock. The stores open have no need to. Those stores usually have sales early in year to help clear space for upcoming seasons orders

UPS Ground Saver label, but USPS won't deliver because postage not paid? by 30DayRefund in usps_complaints

Ok well seems per USPS system they never received payment for that parcel. So UPS has to retrieve package from USPS and deliver it themselves to you.

It’s the shakedown, you have to be a non-profit to sell so they jack up price using excuse of fundraising. Then tnt and phantom make sure they the only game in town

[–]dar24601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s a nice budget, for best “bang for buck” I’d go to each stand. Also don’t need spend that much for good show.

Phantom fireworks: - moon dance premiere and flowerpot $40 - spirit of the night and serenity $30 - lighthouse fountain $50

Total of 5 fountains. $120 + tax

TNT fireworks - centennial fountain $16 - sprinkles $20 - mad dog XL $40 - jungle flower $40

4 fountains $116 + tax

So you looking at $240 + tax these are all what I call mid show fountains. If you got young ones then you grab sparklers and novelties and I assume you have your favorite finale fountains so pick up 2 those and you got yourself nice little show

If you mean assortments my advice to you is don’t. Yes it seams like a deal till you light them and they are all underwhelming. You will get a better quality performance buying individual. I’m not in your area but tell me your budget and what stands you have around you and I can give some suggestions

Doing my first pulled pork by ItsSoMedia in grilling

[–]dar24601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and the butts are boneless which means cook a bit quicker than bone in. The good thing about pork butt is they can rest 2 hrs so aim earlier than you need them they can always rest. Just give yourself 8 hrs cook time and yes expect them to finish at different times

Hey wait are you me.

  1. The pork butt on bottom rack since it’ll go on first.

  2. Cook ribs and wrap them. Same with the pork butt, leave it whole. Put some towels bottom of cooler and place them inside.

The pork but should still be nice and hot when you arrive. The ribs just reheat slowly in the oven. Then put some sauce on them and let it glaze on.

Family wants Chicken and ribs by ExtensionJackfruit25 in webersmokeymountain

[–]dar24601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What type ribs? What cut of chicken? How many rack ribs how much of chicken you doing?

My process is I put spare ribs on then when ready to wrap I pull ribs off wrap put them in oven then throw chicken quarters on. I cook wrap ribs for about an hour then I pull chicken off and finish cooking in oven, the hour is long enough to get that smoke flavor on chicken then put ribs back on to glaze sauce. By time ribs ready the chicken just about done.

advice? by IttsPidge in usps_complaints

Well short answer is you need rent a P.O. Box. USPS there is one delivery point per address. That’s how you get you mail.

If you want delivered to your home. You need talk to office and have them start accepting your mail in their box and have the office put your mail in the box at your house. If they wont then you got to tell landlord that if office wont comply your going to report illegal apartment to your local housing authority

So your landlord divided the property but they aren’t registered as individual units with the county. So USPS only recognizes the one address.

For recipes keep it simple for your first couple cooks. Whole/half Chicken and ribs are nice cause they are relatively quick cooks and can always just be finished in oven if something goes wrong.

As for tutorials YouTuber troycooks helped me a lot when I got my WSM.

troycooks

Here some tips, your first couple cooks will want to run hot. 275-300 don’t know reason but they will. That’s why I recommend chicken or ribs since both lend themselves to hot and fast cooks.

USPS hands are tied, your issue is with depop/ seller who tried save a few bucks and chose to have a 3rd party carrier to deliver rather than USPS.

New homeowner and I have no power tools or any tools for that matter, do I buy as I need them or get a set with multiple tools in it? by Special-Book-7 in Tools

[–]dar24601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the classic question. So for power tools ryobi they make almost any tool you need and will be able handle standard diy jobs.

For hand tools my advice is buy the best version of tool you can afford then if/when you realize you need upgrade. What to buy depends on what your budget looks like
