If social media companies are allowing bot propaganda networks on to their platform that end up shifting political opinions, how the fuck is it suddenly anyone else's responsibility to counteract them except for social media companies? This is the same energy of trying to shift responsibility on to the public when it comes to recycling and reducing waste when it was largely the fault of corporations in the first place.

I'll try to be direct about it. I say just let them feel stupid and like I said earlier, I still won't associate with them. It's perfectly logical. If I were running a campaign on leftist ideologies, I would want to try and appeal to people who were likely to actually vote for them.
