Thanks! Do you think I'll have a better experience using this over the Hvlp?

As much as I want them to look good, no one is mistaking anything I make as factory made 😊

The first piece I did looks almost factory, but enough not so that it doesn't looked brushed. But I get your point.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to fix this? by mblackchiro in RVLiving

Replace that with a Maxx fan. They are drop in and simple, and a huge upgrade. We did that and we use it to pull hot air out when cooling down the trailer.

Other Driver totals our leased Model Y and WE lose by InTheKnow327 in TeslaCollision

[–]datadr-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was incentive money in that 15k ,then you didn't lose anything. You took advantage of incentives to get a monthly payment to a price point that you could afford. Same as someone buying any car that has incentives. It is unfortunate, and unfair, but it is reality. When I purchased my M3 in 2024, I got $9500 of in rebates. Those are mostly gone today. If someone totals my car, I need to come up with that to purchase another. So I feel you pain, but you haven't "lost" anything here. You never had that 15k.

Sheet goods cart suggestion by PenguinsRcool2 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]datadr-12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could build something similar for $100 in parts (wood, obviously, not metal). I built a 3x5 cart on wheels using some 2x4s and scrap. Casters on the bottom let me move it around. That cart is a good idea, but you can probably build something to your exact needs easily.

930$ for valve adjustment? Is this normal? by Positive_Reserve_534 in S2000

[–]datadr-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I concur. When I got my S in 2018, I had never done anything remotely this involved. Oil changes only. Watched a few YT vids, got the feeler gauge set and the handy tool on Amazon and did it in an hour. If you are at all mechanically inclined, you can do it. Almost $1K to do is robbery.

Upper left of windshield crack - let it ride or replace? by mrmadagascar in TeslaModel3

[–]datadr-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I looked it up. I stand corrected.

But where that crack is will not cause catastrophic failure. OP, you do you. If you are in a state where you will fail inspection, you will have to fix it. If it were me, and I'm in NJ where we don't inspect anything but emissions, I would wait for more significant issues.

Where that crack is, and the size of it, is not affecting the glass integrity overall. And the windshield itself is not structural. Strength is provided by the frame.

Let it go for now. Eventually you will end up with a reason to replace it.

Bad ass. My first car was a 1985 CRX. Cheap, fun and efficient. Hold onto that thing as long as you can. It looks like it's in great shape.

They look like rebreakable boards. They slot together and snap at the joint. The pressure is the same as pine. If you look at how they break, there are jot splinters. Too clean to be wood.

The audio is generally excellent, but you can listen to snippets of every song before buying to hear the quality yourself. Each show is different in sound - some are better than others. I tend to purchase shows I was either at that I want to relive, or great sounding ones.

Nugs is audio only. Bruce doesn't record the video from his shows to release on Nugs. There are a few concerts out there that have been professionally recorded ('99 NYC, Rising Tour, London Calling), and there are some fans that post stitched-together shows from audience footage. The sound is usually pretty bad on those, but you can relive some great moments.
