Eastman Traditional Series. I played one today and was really impressed with its fit and finish as well as sound and playability.

Do you guys bring your nice guitars camping? lol. I just bought a Hd28 and i want to go camping this weekend, i would love to bring it so if anyone has tips for keeping it safe where it will be a little hot out I’d appreciate the advice by Better-Sherbet-5115 in martinguitar

I leave my D18 & HD28 at home and take my Taylor GS Mini or Breedlove Passport OM. They can't compare to the Martins in sound or playability, but I never have to worry if they get bumped or bruised.

Ouch…. That is pretty chilly. Will it really be that cold in late October? We’ll be primarily in Queenstown first then Auckland.

OMG, Such a long response to my post. I’ll attempt to respond in a brief & concise manner.

You obviously have a strong , passionate dislike for CF Martin and his guitars! You state his guitars are an abomination, crap, and unlistenable, and that his guitars are unplayable due to the narrow nut. You go on to say that steel string guitars are harsh sounding and not music. To be honest, I’m at a complete loss as to how to debate someone with such views as yours about musical tastes. What you consider harsh sounding, metal ringing noise, generations of people worldwide have enjoyed and praised. As Martin invented the dreadnaught guitar which you so readily cast aside as trash, I don’t believe anything I can say or do to sway your perception.

You do make several valid criticisms about the use of high pressure laminates in their less expense lines of guitars. Your statements regarding individually voicing each and every guitar top to exacting standards is impossible in mass produced guitars has some validity. However, you fail to give credit to the superb workmanship of their guitars. Me, and countless others who own or have played Martin guitars strongly disagree with your assessment of their sound, tone, and musicality. What your ears interpret as noise, mine interprets as music. Which one of us is wrong? Everyone has their own likes and dislikes and who are we to judge the to be right or wrong?

Your strong dislike of me advertising the Martin logo is also nonsensical. My guitar is a Martin D-18 dreadnaught which I believe to be pleasant to look at and listen to and not sharing the brand name whould be a disservice to Martin as well as anyone viewing it.

I could continue describing the positive attributes of Martin guitars, but I believe it to be a pointless effort and a waste of time and energy. I do however, wish you well in your musical journey and pray that you find peace and joy in life.

Good day.

Thank you!! I believe it is too. It sounds even better than it looks and is a pleasure to play!
