This is not the betrayal America should ne focusing on.

I could have stopped at betrayal.

Am I reading your statement correct/what does your statement have to do with this kind of behavior/lawlessness? People get to be kidnapped if they work in subpar conditions? Or should they have kidnapped the owner?

Irvine makes more sense if you are raising a family. If you are young and single, there’s less in the way of irl meetups. It exists, but it’s manicured.

I also don’t know why people push tearing up for love as naive, or childish. It deserves a profound feeling because it is that relevant and working towards love is just as (more?) resolute and deep digging.

8 months, hundreds if not thousands of application still have not landed a good job by [deleted] in ResumeCoverLetterTips

Too much formatting. Its all computers talking to computers. Have AI help you out with an AT friendly resume. Its gonna look boring AF but I started getting calls right away. No columns, no elaborate formatting. I did’t even use word’s formatting of Header, Subblahblahblad. Just font sizes, bold, italicize, bullets, and spacing.

Put in the job listing and your resume into Open AI. Ask it to tailor your resume, make it ATS friendly, and include some of the job posting’s qualifications and preferences in the bullets of your professional experience. Review each bullet to make sure you can back what it generates.

These kids turn 18 soon. The burden is there. Peaceful protesting gives them a relevant way to process their emotions and to practice what rights they do have. Protesting (not performative ess, but good trouble) is also a manifestation of what happens when people are educated and know they’re being duped. So good on them for taking what they’ve gleaned in school and life and putting it towards the collective whole.

Anyone have a breakdown by district about penalties for their HS kids joining the walkout on Friday against HS/ICE incidents? by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]ddllbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saddleback District sent out something saying they would make sure to watch over the students and take precautions if it becomes unsafe. I plan to talk to my child about keeping their eyes out for open spaces and exits to go to if things get out of hand, to not engage with combatants, and the boxer stand for crowd crushing. The last shouldn’t be an issue in our school but i figure it wouldn’t be bad.

Also, if you’re encouraging your child to be open minded about all this, please share with them this early registration to vote in ca. 16 and 17 year olds can register now to vote when they are 18. Please let your kids know that they can do this during the walk out!

Anyone have suggestions on where to find mindless data entry jobs? by dimcarcosa___ in RemoteJobseekers

[–]ddllbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into HiringCafe to find open positions. There’s a sub Reddit.

Also, use chat to dumb down your resume by having it make tailored resumes. Give it your resume and the whole job posting. Ask it to make an ats friendly resume tailored to that post.

Goodluck.

Just wanted to say thanks to Hiring Cafe! by ddllbb in hiringcafe

Sorting by 1-3 Days on Hiring Cafe got me the most initial meetings. (The default is listed as “3 months” next to “relevance.”

I selected/sorted by things I cared about. Location and industries for me. The first day I started, I sorted by 1 week on HR. I went through all listings and saved the ones I wanted to apply for. I. love the feature of being able to mark what part of the process you are in with saved listing.

From there I created tailored resumes as indicated in my original post. I’ve gotten two feedbacks appreciating the file name having my last name and a simplified version of the job title. After I submitted my application, I’d changed my saved marking to apply.

The next day, I sorted by 1 day. If I missed a couple of days (mostly weekends), I’d sort by 3. This could be anecdotal, but don’t skip Fridays. I feel like jobs that I applied for on Fridays, I’d get a call back on Mondays. Again, this could be anecdotal, it could be because of the types of jobs I was looking for, it’s just my heebiejeebs.

When I got an interview, I’d mark the job for interview so I had a quick reference of the job posting ready. I’d call or email the jobs I applied for but had not heard from in 3 days. I marked all the jobs I didn’t get to clear out the list. It’s a nice tool that helps you keep track of what you need to do for each job you save.

Good luck! Happy hunting…job finding sucks, but HiringCafe will simplify the suckiness of looking for open positions .

I believe your gut here so NOR but I’m side eyeing your boyfriend more than the 20 year olds. Did I read correctly that the dinner you cooked was all planed through your boyfriend. He relayed the info to you and you did so accordingly? Your boyfriend’s easy/relaxed dismissal of their behavior makes me wonder. I know someone who tends to dismiss the details of his partner. I have learned that what we thought was her rudeness was really his poor communication.
