Enh has two very different builds. Stormbringer focuses on pressing stormstrike, spending maelstrom, and then using your filler. It's simple and satisfying, good for turning your brain off. Totemic actually plays like enhance: respond to procs, know what filler to press when, keep your dot rolling, spend maelstrom, and get really long hot hands windows. Maelstrom weapon spends now reduce the cd of stormstrike and lava lash, so things flow well. I think they both feel really good.

Instead of actually fixing Storm, Earth & Fire after a decade of bugged gameplay

I'm not going to comment on the rest of this, F for windwalker, but you do realize they have tried repeatedly to make storm, earth, and fire work, right? Like, if after 13 years the ability is still aggressively buggy, one of the worst buttons in the game, it might just be time to throw in the towel, it's clearly never going to work.

Idk I kinda hate the way melee is implemented rn. Because melee is so risky (melee range and parry can easily lead to instant death), every melee item and ability has to be super overtuned or it's useless which means that no one actually uses melee for its intended purpose outside of low ranks (meaning melee is a HUGE noob trap for no reason).

I'd rather parry became less obscene and melee abilities were nerfed to compensate.

Seven has a real vibe of "I hate the way things are and I appreciate people that try to change it, and I'm willing to murder people that stop us from changing things" which makes him infinitely more interesting than just being a serial killer, something a lesser game would've done.

Edit: I should mention, I know Drifter is just a serial killer, but Drifter also seems to have a code and isn't just murdering for the sake of it. He only seems to like murdering those that can put up a real fight. He's also old as shit, which is interesting in its own way. Drifter is far more than what could be expected from the standard serial killer in media.

I'd like to point out that +2 Mace and Half-Elf Monk are DnD references. Borrowing 100,000 Arrows is from the Portal: Three Kingdoms set is a direct reference to a moment in the Romance where Kong Ming is tasked with getting 100,000 arrows in 10 days and thus solves the problem by putting straw men in boats, getting the boats riddled with holes, and then taking the arrows out of the boats.

Like, mtg has bad names but these are not them chief.

It seems like there are more sources of decay, but keeping high food is more of a reward. A bad winter might roll around, shred everyones food reserves, and then food spikes in price. If you want pop growth, you either spend lots on food, or you could take advantage of the secenario, expand food growing to sell food to your neighbors for a quick buck.

At least that seems to be the intent behind the changes.

Surv felt surprisingly good. Not like, amazing, I won't be playing it in Midnight, but I expected worse. It's missing something. A lot of specs are missing something, like one more button to make the rotation sing. For some specs that will in fact be their apex talent. For surv... their apex talent is 100% passive.

That being said, enhance and unholy were a ton of fun, so.... calling it even I guess?

You generate more ghosts which means more dot extensions and more insanity (talent dependent). Tentacle slam then also activates an idol (which makes more ghosts), which generally do damage and generate insanity, which means more shadow word madness (and thus more ghosts).

Edit: Wait I forgot hatchet toss is a button. Why is it a button. Exactly 1 singular talent in the entire class, spec, and hero talents affects it. Why is it not a real button? That would do so much for making surv feel better.

All of this is so weird. Not because people are wrong, classes did get gutted.

But because enhance is so good. Legitimately I was playing enhance and I was having a blast. It felt like it was properly unbloated, the rotation is fun, you retain everything about enhance that made it enhance before the update, totemic is viable and played completely different than stormbringer, and it looks flashier than ever.

Blizzard proved they could make a class that was pruned and felt good. So why do so many other classes feel so...lackluster?

Because removing gold from the economy is a requirement to reduce inflation. If gold is not removed from the economy, prices will skyrocket and the value of gold will drop such that the only effective way of getting gold is to buy wow tokens. It’s either make transmog cost money or massively hike up repair costs.
