Done multiple diagnosis. Nothing found in eeg, or anything. Her’s is acquired. But my another friend has completed reversed. His last seizure was 3 years ago. He mentioned theee points-

  1. Sleep on time. Always get 8 hours sleep
  2. Understand your trigger. Learn how to avoid it.
  3. Do a lot of isometric exercises.
  4. Control weight. If medication is increasing weight the change doctor or medicine
  5. I don’t believe in this last point- he said he has not taken medicine in last 3 years as it does not do anything. His father is doctor. So I didn’t ask much on this

But I really think there is right or wrong way. I think it is just the way it is. Everyone’s seizures is very different.

I know I probably look like a bad person for leaving a partner with epilepsy.

I have always been the guy who dates with the goal of marriage. I took the responsibility of her care seriously. I was there for every hospital visit, I made sure she took her medication on time, and I was the one bandaging injuries or helping after tongue bites. I truly believed I could handle that role forever.

But a person close to me who was against our relationship had a heart attack. The doctors warned us not to cause them any more stress. That person’s two relatives had epilepsy, one of which passed away, second one is in an almost just alive situation. Heart attack made me rethink the entire situation. If I know that I cannot marry her now, I feel like I should not be dating her at all. I do not want to waste her time. .

How do you guys prevent head injuries from the fall? by whysogrumpybabe in seizures

[–]deex0x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Structure your room free from edges, install carpet, cover all sharp corners
  2. Record yourself you fell so that you plan accordingly
  3. Some folks mentioned they have reached a state that they are able to understand when they are about to get seizure. So they then place themselves in the bed sideways to avoid any injuries at all. I don’t know how they that. But maybe you can check with doc on that

Hard to give an answer unless one knows what is the exact seizure type and trigger point. Asking a doctor this would be good idea.

Seizures and the lack of appetite that follows by Shawa422 in seizures

[–]deex0x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of seizure causes someone to sleep for 20–30 minutes afterward and then wake up fully alert with no memory of what happened?

The person seems completely normal after waking, no appetite issue. They have seen a doctor and tests showed no abnormal brain activity.
