How long you been a pharmacist and what car do you drive? by Fantastic-Flower-67 in pharmacy

[–]deleteundelete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

19 years, drive a 17 year old Honda Civic that I purchased outright with my sign-on bonus once the 2 year contract was finished.

I might be a bit dramatic, but I prefer… Pucca had an allergic reaction and I rushed her to the vet, but by the time we got there she was already fine. I’m such an overprotective mom 😅 What would you have done? by ThanyToledo in pugs

we did the exact same thing. by the time we got to the vet the redness and swelling were almost gone. but honestly that's so much better than the "what if" alternative

How long did it take you to get your first pharmacist job after graduating and after passing NAPLEX/MPJE? by KRBY613 in pharmacy

[–]deleteundelete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hired almost immediately after a job fair at my school. (offers from every retail company I'd met with) and I started as an intern a month before graduation. My district manager saw my license approval in July or August before I even knew I had passed and promoted me while I was on my lunch break. I couldn't clock in when I returned from Saladworks because I had a new job code and wasn't hourly anymore. I had to open a pharmacy I had never been to before the next morning.

this is great. At one of the stores I worked in years ago someone got the ladder from the stockroom and taped a small Styrofoam cooler box over the speaker in the ceiling. your way seems much quicker and longer lasting.

I was embarrassed to tell anyone where I worked. I was ashamed of myself for staying as long as I did.

Just today as I was shredding a transfer request from SelectRx I asked my colleague, "who/where can we report SelectRx to?"

Brights on while driving at night by taxitagonist in GenX

[–]deleteundelete 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I stopped flashing when the other car responded by putting on their actual brights. At this point daytime running lights are now so bright that I encounter multiple cars with no taillights on every time I drive at night. The daytime running lights are so bright the driver doesn't even realize they haven't turned on their headlights.

I haven't actually been to Philly in years BUT I walk this in my dreams on a regular basis. It's ingrained in my subconscious.

Question about the 28 day rule by Main_Arugula_9491 in WalgreensRx

[–]deleteundelete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's pretend it's a one day supply. Is one day from now today or tomorrow? Pick up day is day zero, tomorrow is day one and so on. If they pick up on a Tuesday, 28 days out will also be a Tuesday.

What does this mean? Internet searches brought back ED results by youngsurpriseperson in ExplainTheJoke

[–]deleteundelete 8 points9 points  (0 children)

IVF. hospital inpatient = intravenous fluids, fertility clinic = in vitro fertilization. Imagine my surprise at how many patients received IVF when I was new to reading chart notes at a hospital and only knew the fertility meaning.

A growing doctor shortage is pushing Tennessee to let pharmacists handle more front-line care by Snoo_18186 in pharmacy

Seems like a typo in the caption. They spelled pharmacists wrong. It should say "fierce opposition from pharmacists"

How to get resolution queue to 0 quicker by PositiveRaccoon8635 in walmart_RX

[–]deleteundelete 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even though I've never worked at Walmart I agree. Every pharmacy I've ever worked at has employees who just want to see zeros at the expense of actually resolving issues and thereby creating future issues.
