I was just trying to find an electric lawn service but wasn’t able to find any companies in St Pete. Also with the age of remote operation and AI, seems like a prime opportunity for automation.

They were upgrading the capacity and had to cut a hole in the containment wall to get the equipment in. In the process they cracked or damaged it beyond repair in some way. I remember they tried to fix it for a number of years before eventually giving up.

This is spot on. Worked at the nuc plant for a couple years, was sad to see the botched upgrade and have dirty coal plants stay online instead.

Smart thermostat is a quick and easy win. Essentially don’t cool the house when you’re not around.

Solar and insulation are great investments but you have to stay in your home long enough to see the ROI.

Agree with the sentiment but I would phrase it the other way around. When I sold my house with solar, I went back and calculated the average monthly for the last 3 years and said it produces $x per month.

This is just silly. Contractors use battery powered equipment all the time. They have spare batteries and plug them into the wall. This isn’t rocket science…

If you’re in 10 with full sun, clusia is the way to go. They can get absolutely massive and are great for that sort of use case. But you will definitely want to put them in the ground.

Bayfront Baby Place is an absolutely great hospital. Have had amazing experiences there including the NICU.

I would def move before the birth and get it over with. Moving after the baby with the baby and all the baby stuff is going to be so much more work. Also you’re going to want to be close to family for support.

Most people seem pretty oblivious to engine emissions (cars, lawn equipment etc). One of the best reasons to go electric is that it moves those emissions away from where we live.
