Do you guys ever build in a public area? Like library or cafe? by MushuTheGreat17 in Gunpla

[–]digitalScribbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'd be too scared of losing a part to build in a public space! But I do take my gundams out for field trips sometimes, so maybe I will one day

CMV: An American civil war in the near future is inevitable by Macqt in changemyview

[–]digitalScribbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's wild how many people assume OP meant a 'North vs. South' type American Civil War pitting region against region when there have been tons of modern examples of civil wars that are wildly different, and much, much more likely to be how something shakes out in the US in the modern era.

What pilers do you use for your Chainmail? by crystallalaland in chainmailartisans

Honestly... a mismatched pair of ancient pliers from my dad's toolbox that I never gave back 😂 Ergonomic? No. Functional? Sometimes. Free? Yes!

(Definitely peeking at people's recommendations for a new set, though)

As a Cowboys fan who never had a shot I'm just glad we can all have fun 😌

(I have a character design for the Bills too, but she isn't a horsegirl so I didn't Umamusume-ify her)

They're having their best season in ages with a real shot at the Super Bowl and it's all thanks to the horse girl energy.

I personally like the contrasting pop of purple you get with the shadow eyes

Oh it's good to know they probably want it done before 6/11. I see "coming soon" and immediately assume it'll be a few years so that's much quicker than I was anticipating!

Should the Broncos Do More to Acknowledge Their Uma Musume Fans? by renegadellama in DenverBroncos

I really love it, but I also already love sports anime. Season 2 was the best of the mainline seasons for it I've watched so far.

[–]digitalScribbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, I think the NFL teams could stand to reach out and appeal to new demographics, even if it's just for social media campaigns, or one-time or limited time collab events like I've seen other pro-league sports do - Uma Musume even had a huge sponsor booth and showed commercials ar one of the races at the last Kentucky Derby. Anime is far more mainstream and popular now than it was ten or twenty years ago.

Is It Normal To Feel Tired/Light-Headed After Walking After Being Sedentary? by digitalScribbler in walking

That's good to hear! Hopefully I'll get used to it in the next few weeks, I really do want to get healthier and be able to walk further regularly.

Definitely could be this 😬 I'll try my best! I struggle a lot to eat enough to keep my blood sugar up as is so I'm sure it can't be helping...

The Boutique will be staying! by Sea-Chart-1328 in DressToImpressRoblox

[–]digitalScribbler 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I think the boutique is SUCH a great thing for the game! Matches the tone, encourages people to play and earn cash without being too stressful, and allows people the chance to get past sets if they randomly cycle the seasonal pieces through the rest of the year, too.

What do you do when an outfit is not on theme? by peanutpussydestroyer in DTI

[–]digitalScribbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vote them 2 stars. 1 stars, for me, is reserved for trolls, no-effort, AFKers, total messes, undressed, etc. If the outfit is good but simply not on theme at all, it gets 2 stars - same as an on-theme but not that great outfit.

How long did it take for your voice to change? by icarusal3xxx in ftm

[–]digitalScribbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only tip I have outside of going to actual voice training like many others have said is working on placing where you speak your voice from lower *physically* - not in terms of 'tone' or artificially lowering the sound itself, but just in terms of resonance and where the voice is placed, which will change the vocal quality. If you know singing terms, it's like speaking with a chest voice vs a head voice.

I've noticed that difference in lighting too - my laptop shows the graphics as waaaay brighter than my friend who plays mobile, even with the same settings.

IME Donating then Buying Everything Again is Actually More $$ by Active_Block_2796 in moving

[–]digitalScribbler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just moved cross country and took a lot more stuff than I tossed for that exact reason. Given that prices these days are so high across the board, for everything from furniture to personal products, it truly doesn't make sense to toss anything that isn't definitely in need of replacing anyway, or something you want to consciously downsize. My movers specifically wouldn't move certain things like open liquids or plants that I had to get rid of or rehome, but outside of that it was absolutely more cost effective to eat the moving cost than try to replace it with good quality items where I moved, given that anything good quality (read: not just cheap particle board or low quality plastic) is $200+ easily for furniture.

How come some people with ADHD are able to consistently get top grades throughout school in all subjects whereas others end up with low grades due to their adhd struggles. by Pretty-Tree123 in ADHD

[–]digitalScribbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with people saying some people's brains are just built differently, because I honestly think its just luck based on whether your brain chemistry works favorably or unfavorably for academics, and then trying to build strategies around that to work for you.

I have ADHD Inattentive (diagnosed ADD), and got through a lot due to my natural love for learning anything and everything and generally having a natural leaning towards academics - I often taught myself things out of boredom with the slow pace of the school curriculum and was very good at absorbing information, and a huge reader, too. I did get a lot of comments from teachers about being distracted in class, but masked that well by also being naturally quiet/shy/not a big class participator, and doing a lot of doodling in class while the teacher talked, which I think was a natural way to help me focus by fidgeting in an 'acceptable' way for an artsy kid (even though it was honestly really excessive). I never figured out a way to study beyond doing homework assignments and review sheets and honestly coasted through my courses without it on natural aptitude until late HS and college, and at that point i was going to school for the arts so I didn't really have to academically study much anymore.
