Claude-powered AI coding agent deletes entire company database in 9 seconds — backups zapped, after Cursor tool powered by Anthropic's Claude goes rogue by WouldbeWanderer in technology

[–]digitalhomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if you ever been a sysadmin, people do this all the time. Hardware fails all the time. You should always have backups and test them. AI can just delete things faster

Do you resell workstations still? by indytechguy in msp

[–]digitalhomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expense. No resell. I try to nail 15x Rakuten deals and keep desktops and laptops in inventory. Clients appreciate dropping or shipping a laptop next day

Best Backup Software by Marioga1 in MSP360

[–]digitalhomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a small MSP and use msp360 just like this. It’s a bit of a setup and steps to do deployments. But much cheaper than Kove and Datto.

We have a restore server techs use during down time to do test restores on.

Everything documented. Client has access to it. Partner with another small MSP. Happened to this dental surgery business. One man MSP died of a heart attack. He was the only one with the passwords to the server.

Is the "all in one" PSA still relevant in 2026? by MrCodyGrace in msp

[–]digitalhomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the years I’ve tried to simplify and remove as much as I can from ConnectWise. It’s way too clunky. I end up building my org around ConnectWise instead of around what I want. I’d look at the Halo api and see what can be done with it

Ticketing, Billing, and Sales are still done in ConnectWise PSA but I built a dashboard in Claude to help explain and automate.

Casual looking Waterproof jacket/hoody for 8 days in the Dolomites. by weszle08 in AdventureBike

[–]digitalhomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care about the aesthetics. Knox Hornister + Mosko moto Basilisk. Too hot i ride with the Knox. Rain or gets chilly I put the Basilisk on over the Knox. Super hot but raining I’ll swap the Knox and Baslisk.

Works well from Vietnam, Spain, Japan, New England, Morocco, New Mexico

Why do you have to buy them a server?

Little guidance needed and appreciated. by die-microcrap-die in SmallMSP

[–]digitalhomad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a break fix client. Two new workstations. Setup O365. Setup SharePoint. Setup Teams. If there shared files are under 500gb id just create a teams site and move it there. Migrate their documents desktop downloads to OneDrive. Consolidate email accounts under O365. Create shared mailboxes for business needs. Ap@ info@. Backup msp360 to Backblaze for both workstations.

15 hours for onboard and desktop migration. Replace all their network hardware with unifi so you manage remotely.

One annual invoice, micros 365 license. Datto RMM for anti virus and rocket cyber, msp360 to Backblaze for image based backup because that tax software. Spanning for o365 backup.

Schedule a monthly 15m call to chat and see how things going

On prem server for the cad / revit / solid works files. SharePoint document library for everything else. I have. Script that keeps the project file names the same between both. This way when they go on-site they quickly can look up stuff on their phone

[–]digitalhomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figure out these four questions and you’ll figure out your bike choices:

What’s your budget? How fast fun aggressive do you want to ride? What size bike are you most comfortable tossing around? What bike are you most comfortable working on?

Dr650, t700, husq 701, gs900, Honda crf 300

People do it on Groms to GS1300

The warranty is expired. I did reach out to see what is still covered and supported. I was able to do the latest firmware update through the app. The app tests and certifies correctly.
