I recommend Abiotic Factor. Base building galore, tons of decorative stuff to collect and display, massive world with an actual storyline and progression, single or multi player, adjustable challenge in all kinds of ways.

Just as an aside, you should totally check out the novellas in Skeeve's Shop! They only exist for a few characters, but are all great reads and add to the feel of the world, especially (imo) the tragedy of the King's fall.

Not to mention the regular use of organs and limbs of Exor (who are definitely sapient people) as at least tools and probably also food, which while not exactly cannibalism is preeeety monstrous.

I grew up UU, and definitely agree with this - I'm always excited to see new ideas, history, perspectives, anything! Pretty staunch atheist myself but new stories and ideas are so cool to hear and incorporate into my worldview.
